This academic work addresses the question of affection, the preceptor love and education
in the contemporary schools, making a relation with the Humanistic and Social pedagogy,
also termed Love Pedagogy, adopted by the educator Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-
1827) in his methods, and their didactics. The choice of the theme emerged from the
observations made during supervised internship realized in public schools, when we
perceived that appeared there not to be sensitivity and affectivity by part of some
teacher(s). There were also many social and emotional difficulties and needs by part of
the students, without satisfactory development in teaching and learning, much less with
joy and love. These restlessness arose from the following question: Why do so many
children today have so many difficulties in teaching and learning and in the relationship
with the teacher(s)? How is the relationship of those children in the family context? We
conducted a bibliographic, field and exploratory research with six teachers from public
and private schools, to identify the difficulties that present in the question of affection, of
the preceptor love, as more evident in classrooms and if teachers remember to have
studied the educator Pestalozzi, his didactics, method of relating the child's steps with
nature, with its divine essence, or if that methodology was out of date, in disuse. Most
teachers reported having studied Pestalozzi, however, had no recollection of their
pedagogy. Thus, when they did plan their classes, they were concerned with applying the
contents of the textbooks, because they ought to comply what were determined by the
managers and this way they do not contemplate the interaction of the child with the
nature and not its divine essence, as it was adopted by educator Pestalozzi. They did not
evidence, nevertheless, indifference to Pestalozzi’s legacy.
A escolha do tema
crianças atualmente apresentam tantas dificuldades no ensino-aprendizagem e no
relacionamento com as professoras(es)? Como é a relação dessas crianças no âmbito
familiar?
