The earth construction is a constructive method that has been used over the millennia, it’s a
methodology that applies from the periods before Christ and that comes in constant evolution.
The main focus of the present work is the study of the waterproofing of compacted earth blocks,
or ecological bricks, it’s a technology considered the evolution of adobe that aims to minimize
the environmental impacts caused by the burning of combustible materials in the manufacture
of traditional brick, in addition to reduce the amount of construction waste. It is a model that is
concerned with sustainability and presents good savings when compared to the traditional
model. The big problem of the blocks and all the earth construction are the high water
absorption, so the research focuses on comparing two waterproofing products found in the local
market in order to find out if they delivery what they promise and which one have the better
results.O
A construção em terra é um método construtivo que vem sendo utilizado ao longo dos milênios,
é uma metodologia que se aplica desde os períodos antes de cristo e que vem em constante
processo de evolução. O presente trabalho estuda a impermeabilização dos blocos de terra
compactado, ou tijolos ecológicos, que se trata de uma tecnologia considerada a evolução do
adobe e visa minimizar os impactos ambientais causados pela queima de materiais combustíveis
na fabricação do tijolo tradicional, além de reduzir as quantidades de resíduos de construção
civil. Trata-se de um modelo que se preocupa com a sustentabilidade e apresenta boas
economias quando comparados ao modelo tradicional. O grande problema dos blocos e de todas
as construções com terra é a alta absorção de água então a pesquisa foca em fazer um
comparativo entre duas marcas de impermeabilizantes encontrados no mercado local para testar
se realmente eles entregam o que prometem e qual dos dois produtos é mais eficient
