The exile of the Bourbons supporters of Valencia

Abstract

Magistrados, nobles titulados, caballeros, particulares y eclesiásticos abandonaron en Reino de Valencia y marcharon al exilio a fines de 1705. Las razones de su opción favorable a Felipe V, las circunstancias de su salida de Valencia, la situación, con frecuencia desesperada, en la que se encontraron, faltos de medios para su subsistencia, en condiciones de miseria y necesidad, la ayuda que recibieron del Consejo de Aragón, los cargos y mercedes que solicitaron como premio a su fidelidad y a sus sacrificios, y las gracias que obtuvieron del monarca, suponen una posibilidad de aproximación a la realidad del felipismo valenciano en los años trágicos de la guerra y de la primera posguerra.Magistrales, nobles, gentlemen, civilians and clergymen left Kingdom of Valencia and marched to exile by the end of 1705.
