Motori s unutarnjim izgaranjem strojevi su u kojima gorivo izgara neposredno unutar radnog prostora, a toplinska energija koja pritom nastaje pretvara se u mehanički rad. Motor je stroj koji pretvara neki oblik energije u mehanički rad. Radni ciklus dvotaktnog motora odvija se u jednom okretaju radilice, tj. u dva radna takta. Radni ciklus kod četverotaktnog motora odvija se samo u cilindru, i to u četiri takta (dva okretaja radilice). Zadaća sustava dovoda goriva je opskrbiti sustav za pripremu smjese dovoljnom količinom goriva pri svim režimima rada motora. Ovim radom ćemo se upoznati sa djelovima otto motora i njegovog načina rada.Internal combustion engines are the machines in which fuel burns immediatly within operating space,and the heat energy which is arised there converses into memehanical work. Engine is a machine which converts some kind of energy into a mechanical work. Working cycle of two-stroke engine takes place in one cranckshaft i.e. in two working strokes. Four-stroke working cycle takes place only in a cylinder in four tacts. (two crankshaft turn). The function of the fuel supply system equipe engine miksture system with sufficent amount of fuel in all engine operating regimes.
