Globba is a well-known genus native to India, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. There are more than 100 species and they are used traditionally in number of ailments such as post partum, mouth ulcer, post natal care of mother and child, conjunctivitis, eye abrasians, asthma, leucoderma, cough, food poisoning, analgesic, antipyretic, heart pain and Stomach pain.
