RESUMEN: La Cátedra de la Paz desde su formulación ha representado para los sectores educativos una ley vacía, carente de elementos pedagógicos y formulada por actores que poco o nada tienen conocimientos en materia educativa. Distintos sectores se han manifestado en contra de lo establecido en aquella ley, alegando que si bien es la educación un puente para trasmitir lo consignado en los Acuerdos de Paz firmados con las Farc-ep, lo estipulado en la Cátedra está lejos de lo que necesita la realidad actual. Las temáticas que de ella emanan son repetitivas pues ya habían sido formuladas en otras cátedras y proyectos, por lo que las instituciones educativas del país se encuentran sobrecargadas de responsabilidades no solo en materia social sino también legal. Así pues, resulta importante presentar información que aporte a la reflexión de la instauración de este tipo de cátedras educativas en los momentos coyunturales que viva el país, es por ello que esta monografía dará cuenta de la incidencia que tiene la implementación de la Cátedra de la Paz en el proceso formativo de los estudiantes de la institución educativa Mano Amiga, a su vez se hará un análisis sobre sus propósitos: Educación para la Paz, Cultura de Paz y desarrollo sostenible teniendo en cuenta no solo elementos teóricos sino también lo obtenido en campo.ABSTRACT: Since it's formulation, the chair of Peace has represented an empty law for educational sectors, lacking in pedagogical elements and formulated by actors who have little or no knowledge in educational matters.
