RESUMEN: El presente artículo propone una reflexión sobre el ejercicio etnográfico y el acto de testimoniar en contextos marcados por la “guerra”. Aborda las características que toman el testimonio y su producción en el marco de una investigación con víctimas del conflicto político en tres barrios de la ciudad de Medellín. Se proponen como ejes de reflexión, por un lado, los contextos y los momentos donde tiene escenario el testimonio y, por otro lado, el tema de la escucha y los silencios en la producción de los testimonios. Este artículo cuestiona la idea según la cual el testimonio se produce de manera neutra y sin variaciones según los contextos, mociones y relaciones que se entablan entre investigadores y víctimas, ante lo cual se plantea la alternativa de realizar acercamientos reflexivos que consideren las particularidades y demandas que surgen en los momentos de producción del testimonio.ABSTRACT: This article proposes a reflection on ethnographic fieldwork and the act of “bearing witness” in “war” contexts. This reflection is one of the outcomes of a research project focused on political conflict victims in three neighborhoods of Medellin conducted in 2007. and moments where bearing witness is elicited [spatial and temporal elements that condition witnessing] as well as the role that acts such as listening and remaining silent play in their production.
