ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION Earthbag construction is an inexpensive method to create structures which are both strong and can be quickly built. It is a natural building technique that evolved from historic military bunker construction techniques and temporary flood-control dike building methods. Normally the foundation cost comes to about 10 to 15% of the total building and usually foundation depth of 3 to 4 ft. The scarcity and cost of durable building materials is regularly identified as one of the main obstacles to better housing standards.
