El webdoc como nuevo espacio de participación ciudadana: el caso de 0Responsables (Barret Films 2013-2014)

Los documentales interactivos, también conocidos como webdocs, son una herramienta de comunicación que está adquiriendo una especial relevancia en los últimos años. A diferencia del documental cinematográfico tradicional, el webdoc le permite al receptor una lectura no lineal, seleccionando la dirección y orden de visionado de las diferentes secciones que lo conforman. Por otro lado, el webdoc toma del documental de movilización su carácter explícitamente político, con la intención manifiesta de incidir en la agenda social y en la concienciación ciudadana. En este artículo analizamos el caso del webdoc OResponsables, realizado para alertar a la población de la impunidad política en la gestión del accidente de metro ocurrido en Valencia en 2006, uno de los más graves sucedidos en Europa. Analizamos los espacios de participación que proporciona el webdoc, al igual que el papel del documental interactivo en su interacción con los medios tradicionales. Interactive documentaries, known as well as webdocs are a communication tool which is becoming particularly important in recent years. Unlike traditional film documentary, webdoc allows the recipient a non-linear reading, selecting the direction and order of viewing the different sections that comprise it. Moreover, the webdoc takes from the mobilization documentary its explicit political character, with the clear aim to influence the social agenda and public awareness. In this paper we analyze the case of OResponsables, made to alert people of political impunity in managing the underground accident occurred in Valencia in 2006, one of the most serious occurred in Europe. We also analyze the opportunities for participation provided by the webdoc, like the role of interactive documentary in its interaction with traditional media.

El docuweb se ha convertido en un formato pujante, adaptado a las particulares características del Audiovisual 2.0 y el entorno multipantalla; este artículo propone un acercamiento al mismo desde este punto de vista con el análisis de un caso concreto: Cromosoma cinco, del Laboratorio de Experimentación de RTVE. Administration of development documetation over WWW II

Document server je webová aplikace ovladatelná přes internetový prohlížeč, která má sloužit pro správu vývojových dokumentů. Aplikace je rozdělena do čtyř základních částí: Requirements, Products, Tests a Test Run. Část Requirements slouží pro vkládání požadavků na výrobky. Na základě těchto požadavků se vyrobí produkt, který je evidován v části Products. V části Tests jsou vytvářena zadání testů dle požadavků z části Requirements. Testy jsou pak realizovány s jednotlivými produkty. Výsledky těchto testů eviduje část Test Run. Součástí aplikace je správa uživatelů, připojování příloh k záznamům, tisk a exportování dat do různých formátů, ukládání historie záznamů, filtrování a řazení záznamů, atd. Veškerá data jsou uložena v databázi MySQL, aplikace je napsána ve skriptovacím programovacím jazyce PHP. Data jsou prezentována pomocí šablonovacího systému Smarty, výstup je v jazyce XHTML a k formátování je využito kaskádových stylů CSS. Tato práce popisuje vývoj aplikace. Začátek je věnován návrhu databáze, propojení a vazby jednotlivých tabulek. Přitom je podrobně vysvětlena funkce programu, což je pro správný návrh databáze podstatné. Na databázi je postavena aplikace. Ukázána je zvolená struktura souborů, vztahy skriptů a knihoven funkcí. Vysvětlen je šablonovací systém a rozhraní pro přístup programu do databáze. Nejvíce je v práci věnováno popisu řešení důležitých funkcí aplikace, tj. výpisu záznamů, jejich stránkování, filtrování a řazení, operace se záznamy: ukládání, prohlížení, kopírování, schvalování a práce s historií, kategorie a problémy při udržování konzistentního stromu, export dat do různých formátů. Vždy je nastíněn problém, myšlenka řešení a popis příslušných skriptů. Pro lepší pochopení komplikovaných algoritmů jsou také uváděny ukázky zdrojového kódu.Document server is a web application controllable by way of web browser. It is meant to serve for the management of development documentation. The application is divided to the four basic parts: Requirements, Products, Tests and Test Run. The section Requirements serves for inserting requirements for products. Product is produced on the basis of these needs and registered in part Products. Test setting is created in the part Tests according to requirements from the part Requirements. Particular products are then tested. The part Test Run registers records of these tests. These are parts of the application: management of users, connecting supplements to records, printing and exportation of data to different formats, saving history of records, filtration and sorting of entries, etc. All the data is saved in the database MySQL. The application is written in scripting language PHP. Data is presented by template system Smarty. The output is in language XHTML. Cascading style CSS is used to formatting. This work describes development of the application. First it is dealing with the proposal of the database, connection and structure of particular tables. The function of the programme is explained in detail at the same time, which is essential for the correct proposal of the database. The application is based on the database. The selected structure of files and relations of scripts to library functions are shown. The template system and the interface for access of the programme to the database are explained. The most attention is paid to the description of solving important functions of the application, i.e. listing of records, their pagination, filtration, sorting and operation with them: saving, browsing, copying, confirmation and work with history, category and problems by upkeep of consistent tree and export of data to various formats. It is always outlined the problem, the idea of solving and the description of appropriate scripts. Samples of source code are also included for better understanding of complicated algorithms.

El documental contemporáneo amplifica los modos de  representación, activismo y performatividad a través de nuevas estrategias colaborativas en formatos interactivos y dispositivos  transmedia. Este acercamiento a las características y tendencias actuales del Webdoc (o documental interactivo) no  quiere situar su foco en las propuestas  al usuario como  modelo y eje  de desarrollo del  relato interactivo,  sino en las originales maneras en  que  el  proceso de construcción  del documental para  Internet y las nuevas plataformas son capaces de resituar  al conjunto  de actores (autor-protagonista-usuario) que  organizan  la construcción de las nuevas narrativas  documentales

Prácticas narrativas no lineales en el webdocumental contemporáneo: bases para una aproximación al fenómeno.

The current development of multimedia nonlinear narratives has led to an exponential increase in content production interactive documentaries that try to explore the expressive potential of digital tools. Among the projects diversity conducted with quite divergent results, it is necessary to notice some definition complex communicative artifacts, better known as webdocumentarys or interactive multimedia documentary, which combines elements from both hypertext narratives, on the one hand such as documentary films, on the other. The rhetoric of these new products interactive storytelling intends characterized by a growing and increasingly developed relationship with the user, which assigns a new place in the construction of meaning. Orgull de Baix (Baix Pride): a web documentary dedicated to explore and discober the Baix Llobregat’s landscape and heritage

Orgull de Baix és un documental web, webdoc, que descobreix el tresor ecològic i agrícola de la comarca del Baix Llobregat, i la lluita dels seus habitants per superar les pressions urbanístiques de la gran ciutat que té al costat, Barcelona. Orgull de Baix parla d’agricultura en entorns urbans, de sobirania alimentària, de la tensió entre el centre i la perifèria, entre l’espai urbà i l’espai rural, entre el creixement i la sostenibilitat. El següent article presenta i discuteix les decisions de disseny interactiu que van guiar la seva creació, així com les aproximacions narratives i de llenguatge cinematogràfic traduït al web, que van aflorar durant la realització del projecte.Orgull de Baix (Baix Pride) is a web documentary that invites you to a virtual trip to discover the ecological and agricultural treasure trove that is the Baix Llobregat region, and the struggle by its inhabitants to overcome the urban development pressure exerted by the big city that is its next-door neighbor, Barcelona. Periodismo transmedia como herramienta mediadora del cambio social

El crecimiento de la tecnología y la constante pérdida de audiencia están provocando que el Periodismo busque soluciones en nuevas narrativas como el transmedia, que además busca el cambio social en las vidas de los protagonistas y público, basándose en la interactividad. Aquí se trata de analizar el periodismo transmedia como posible mediador de un cambio social. También procura dar a conocer la terminología propia de las narrativas transmedia como el crossmedia o el webdoc. Examina los casos concretos de documentales web para ofrecer una posible clasificación y para determinar si se le puede considerar como un nuevo género periodístico. Por último expone el conocimiento de la audiencia sobre este mundo 3.0. Para alcanzar todos esos objetivos se realiza un estudio teórico de las narrativas transmedia, la llegada del transmedia al periodismo, el webdoc como ejecución práctica, la posible influencia social de estos documentales y su situación como género; una encuesta entre el público para descubrir su conocimiento y opinión de las nuevas tecnologías narrativas; y entrevistas a especialistas y docentes de la materia para obtener información especializada de primera mano. Las conclusiones alcanzadas son que el periodismo transmedia puede ser considerado como mediador para el cambio social al mismo nivel que el propio periodismo con el aliciente de que llega a una audiencia nueva y distinta; que los propios webdocs son muy distintos y que existen bajo nuestro criterio dos tipos: los audiovisuales a la carta y los de infografía; que el webdoc no puede ser considerado como un nuevo género periodístico y si como un nuevo formato de documental; la viabilidad económica del webdoc depende de distintos factores pero en lo general tiene éxito a largo plazo; y la última conclusión es que el público acepta las nuevas narrativas basadas en las tecnologías y la interactividad

Los nuevos documentales multimedia interactivos:construcción discursiva de la realidad orientada al receptor activo

Today’s technological development is leading to major and varied changes regarding the communication world. Related to a digital context that is multimedia, hypertextual and that allows interactivity, these changes imply a transformation of traditional journalistic genres and formats, which must be redefined in order to take advantage of the possibilities that the new media may offer. One of them is the documentary genre, which has been transformed adopting an innovative and interactive multimedia format known as ‘web documentary’, ‘webdoc’, etc. This reformed genre explores the Internet potentials adopting new forms of discursive approach when describing reality. Based on these aspects, this article aims to delve into the construction of the new narratives inside interactive multimedia documentary, paying a particular attention to the important role assigned to a receiver/user that becomes an active element when it comes to telling the story. It is taken as an specific object of study the ‘webdoc’ conducted by the Laboratorio de Radio Televisión Española, whose analysis will provide the main characteristics that allow us to separate the classic format of documentary from the innovative new format whose characteristics are related to the so-called narrative experience for the receiver/user in documentary genre.El desarrollo tecnológico actual está originando cambios muy importantes y variados en lo que respecta al mundo comunicacional. Dichos avances tienen su principal reflejo en el contexto digital cuyas características de multimedialidad, hipertextualidad e interactividad están posibilitando que los tradicionales géneros y formatos periodísticos se redefinan con el objetivo de aprovechar las citadas características que ofrece ahora el nuevo medio. Uno de ellos es el género documental, el cual está adoptando un novedoso formato multimedia e interactivo que empieza a conocerse como documental web, webdoc, etc. y que está intentando explorar esas potencialidades que ofrece el soporte de Internet a través del planteamiento de nuevas formas discursivas a la hora de narrar la realidad. Partiendo de estos aspectos este artículo pretende ahondar en la construcción de las nuevas narrativas de los documentales multimedia interactivos, haciendo especial hincapié dentro de ellas a la perspectiva de la importancia que cobra el receptor-usuario como elemento activo a la hora de narrar la historia. Concretamente se ha tomado como objeto de estudio los webdoc llevados a cabo por el Laboratorio de Radio Televisión Española, cuyo análisis permite aportar las principales características que presentan en relación al documental en su formato clásico, así como las innovaciones que introduce y que tienen que ver con el planteamiento de las denominadas experiencias narrativas documentales en el receptor-usuario

Er is een steeds sterkere tendens om onderzoeksgegevens te visualiseren in plaats van in tabellen weer te geven. Een belangrijk voordeel van visualisatie is dat de resultaten vaak direct duidelijk en eenvoudig te interpreteren zijn. Zo kan met behulp van meerdimensionele schaling de samenhang tussen rendementen van indexen van aandelenmarkten gerepresenteerd worden door een kaart waaruit blijkt welke beurzen nauw aan elkaar gerelateerd zijn en welke niet. In deze rede wordt dynamische visualisatie als nieuw element toegevoegd aan dit soort kaarten. Er worden toepassingen besproken van het interactief construeren van zo???n kaart, bewegende kaarten van verandering van samenhang tussen aandelenmarkten in de tijd, en interactieve constructie van een kaart van de politieke partijen in Nederland. De combinatie van visualisatie met interactie en dynamiek maakt het mogelijk om op eenvoudiger wijze inzicht te krijgen in gecompliceerde gegevens dan met statische visualisatie alleen.Nowadays there is an increasing tendency of visualizing data in favor of tables. An important advantage is that results can be derived more easily and interpretation is more direct. For example, the correlations of returns of stock market indices can be mapped by multidimensional scaling, separating closely related markets from less related markets. In this inaugural address, dynamic visualization is added as a new element to such maps. We discuss applications of this idea in interactively constructing a map, modeling changing correlations over time of stock exchanges by dynamic maps, and interactive construction of a map of the Dutch political parties. Combining visualization with interaction and dynamics provides an easier way to gain insight in complex data than using static visualization
