Technical aspects in dark matter investigations
Some theoretical and experimental aspects regarding the direct dark matter
field are mentioned. In particular some arguments, which play a relevant role
in the evaluation of model dependent interpretations of experimental results
and in comparisons, are shortly addressed.Comment: Proceedings of TAUP 2011 Conferenc

R(s) and hadronic tau-Decays in Order alpha_s^4: technical aspects
We report on some technical aspects of our calculation of alpha_s^4
corrections to R(s) and the semi-leptonic tau decay width [1-3]. We discuss the
inner structure of the result as well as the issue of its correctness. We
demonstrate recently appeared independent evidence positively testing one of
two components of the full result
Investigation of the tetraquark candidate : technical aspects and preliminary results
We discuss technical aspects and first results of a lattice QCD study of the
state. We employ various interpolating operators of quark-antiquark,
mesonic molecule, diquark-antidiquark and two-meson type. Both connected and
disconnected contributions including diagrams with closed fermion loops are
computed. To keep statistical errors small, it is essential to optimize the
computation of these diagrams by choosing that combination of techniques most
appropriate for each type of diagram from the correlation matrix of
interpolating operators. We illustrate, how this can be done, by discussing
certain diagrams in detail. We also present preliminary results corresponding
to a submatrix computed with 2+1 flavors of clover fermions.Comment: 13 pages, 9 figures, talks given at the 32nd International Symposium

Introducing Imperfect Competition in CGE Models: Technical Aspects and Implications
This paper considers the technical aspects and the consequences, in terms of simulation results and policy assessment, of introducing imperfect competition in a CGE model. The modifications to the standard CGE framework needed to model imperfect competition in some industries are briefly discussed. Next, the paper discusses whether, how much and why, those changes may affect the qualitative output of a typical simulation experiment. It is argued that technical choices made in designing the model structure may have a significant impact on the model behavior. This is especially evident when the output of the model, under an imperfect competition closure, is compared with that obtained under a standard closure, assuming perfect competition. As an illustration, a scenario of agricultural trade liberalization under alternative market structures is analyzed.Computable general equilibrium models, Imperfect competition, Oligopolistic models, Economies of scale, Empirical industrial organization, Agriculture, Trade liberalization, Trade policy
Robotic Tubal Anastomosis: Technical Aspects

Technical aspects of intestinal transplantation.
Since the advent of the potent immunosuppressive agent FK 506, intestinal transplantation has become a feasible therapeutic option for patients with irreversible intestinal failure. In this chapter, we present our clinical experience with intestinal transplantation, focusing on the technical aspects of both the donor and recipient operations. The logistics of the operative procedure have been described previously
