Control Pest of Leaf Caterpillars (Plutella Xylostella) in Delima Rose Apples Using Soursop Leaf Extract (Annona Muricata)
The increasing of pesticide use is in line with the increasing number of pest populations. However, the use of pesticides causes various negative impacts on the environment (soil, water, and air) such as pesticide-resistant pests, perishing of useful insects which are non-target pesticides, and the use of pesticide which can even lead to poisoning and death in humans. One of the environmentally-safe techniques to control pests is chemical, by the use soursop leaf extract. This study aims to determine the most effective concentration of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata) in controlling leaf caterpillar (Plutella xylostella) in delima rose apples. The research was carried out in the plantation area of rose apples in tempuran village, Demak. The research method employed experimental research. The study was conducted using Completely Randomized Design. The data were obtained using probit analysis of LC50. The most effective concentration of soursop extract (Annona muricata) on leaf caterpillars' mortality was 75 ppm. Soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata) has been proven to influence rose apples leaf caterpillars' mortality index. The LC50 value of soursop leaf extract was 75,16 mg/L. The result showed that soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata) is effective as a biopesticide material to control leaf caterpillar pest for delima rose apples
Aktivitas Anti Makan Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Indeks Nutrisi Serta Terhadap Struktur Membran Peritrofik Larva Instar V Spodoptera Litura F.
Antifeeding activity of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.) and its effect on nutrition indices and the microscopic structure of peritrophic membrane of the fifth-instar larvae of Spodoptera litura F. were studied. Antifeeding test was conducted by choice method. Discs of caisin leaf were dipped into the ether fraction of soursop leaf extract with concentrations of 0; 0.63; 2.50; and 10.00%. Nutrition indices and peritrophic membrane structure were observed by giving fifth-instar larvae one of the five diets, every group of diet was added to various concentrations of the ether fraction of soursop leaf extract, containing either 0; 0.63; 1.25; 2.50; and 5.00%. The result showed that soursop leaf extract had antifeeding activity at tested concentration 2.50%. Relative consumption rate (RCR), relative growth rate (RGR), and efficiency of conversion of ingested food (ECI) were significantly lower in the case of treated larvae than that of the controls. However the efficiency of conversion of digested food (ECD), approximate digestibility (AD), and peritrophic membrane structure treated with soursop leaf extract were not significantly affected as compared to those in controls
Karakterisasi Mutu Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Dari Tiga Tempat Tumbuh
The soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) are part of soursop plants that have a potential to be developed as anticancer as it contains annonacin. Annonacin is one of the acetogenins compounds group that are cytotoxic and mostly can be found in soursop plants. In the development of pharmaceutical preparation, apart from their safety and efficacy, quality of medicinal raw materials has been one of the important factors. Soursop leaf extract quality can be affected by their types of growing places. Therefore, the research of the quality characterization of soursop leaf extracts from three different growing places needs to be done in order to identify the quality of the extract used as herbal medicines. Quality inspection of soursop leaf extracts was including non-specific and specific parameters. Soursop leaf samples were obtained from three growing places with different altitude, which were from Tawangmangu, Central Java,; Pasuruan, East Java; and Bogor, West Java.The results showed that the best leaf extracts of soursop was from Pasuruan with non-specific parameters: (water content of 7,15% , ash content of 3,59% and 0,44 ppb levels of aflatoxin G2, and specific parameters: (the concentration of annonacin is 12,80%)

PERBANDINGAN EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK, EKSTRAK ROSELLA, DAN MADU TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK MINUMAN FUNGSIONAL DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata Linn.)
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat produk baru dengan berbahan dasar daun sirsak, kelopak bunga rosella dan madu yang menyehatkan tubuh dan menyegarkan serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan antara ekstrak daun sirsak, ekstrak rosella, dan madu terhadap antioksidan pada karakteristik minuman fungsional daun sirsak.
Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola factorial 1 x 5 sebanyak 5 kali ulangan. Variable yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perbandingan ekstrak daun sirsak, ekstrak rosela, dan madu yang berbeda-beda. Analisis kimia yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kadar tannin, selain itu juga dilakukan uji organoleptik dengan penilaian warna, rasa, dan aroma terhadap minuman fungsional daun sirsak.
Hasil penilaian menunjukan bahwa perbandingan ekstrak daun sirsak, ekstrak rosela, dan madu tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap warna, aroma, dan kadar tannin, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap penilaian rasa minuman
The result of this research is to create new products with soursop leaf-based, rosella flower petals, and honey nourish the body and refreshing as well as to determine the effect a comparison between soursop leaf extract, extract rosella, and honey to the antioxidants in functional drinks soursop leaf characteristics.
The experimental design used in this study is a randomized block design (RAK) with factorial pattern of 1 x 5 by 5 repetitions. Variables used in this study is a comparison of soursop leaf extract, extract of roselle, and different honey. Chemical analysis performed in this study is the analysis of the levels of tannin, but it also conducted organoleptic tests with assessment of color, flavor, and aroma of the leaves of the soursop functional drinks.
Results of the assessment showed that the ratio of soursop leaf extract, extract of roselle, and honey did not significantly affect the color, aroma and tannin levels, but significantly affect the assessment flavored drinks
Pengaruh Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata) Terhadap Profil Darah Dan Kelulushidupan Ikan Mas (Cyprinus Carpio) Yang Diinfeksi Bakteri Aeromonas Hydrophila
Carp is a freshwater species that is easily cultivated. One of the constraints in cultivating carps (C. carpio) is diseases that ultimately caused mass mortality. The disease that generally affects carp is Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) caused by Aeromonas hydrophila. Soursop leaves is one of the herbs that can be used as an ingredient to control fish diseases because it contains chemicals that acts bacteriocide. The purpose of this research was to determine the influence and the best dose of soursop leaf extract in feed to the blood profile and survival of carp infected by A. hydrophila. The treatments of this research were addition of soursop leaf extract on feed with 4 different dosages and 3 replicates. The treatments were A (0 g/kg diet), B (5 g/kg diet), C (10 g/kg diet) and D (15 g/kg diet). The result showed that soursop leaf extract in feed of treatment B (5 g/kg diet) significantly different (P0.05) on total erythrocyte (0.83×106 cells/mm3), differential leukocyte include the percentage of monocytes (7.67%), neutrophils (8.67%), lymphocytes (83.67%), phagocytic activity (37%) and survival rate (50%). It can be conclude that soursop leaf extract at dosage 5g/kg was able to stimulate immune response of carp, it was characterized by an increased total leukocytes of carp infected by A. hydrophila
Bioaktivitas Ekstrak Metanol Daun Muda Sirsak Annona muricata L. Sebagai Antibakteri Terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Propionibacterium acnes
The research of soursop juvenile leaf methanol extract bioactivity- Annona muricata L., as antibacterial against staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium has done. The juvenile leaf used in this research was soursop leaf-Annona muricata L. for second and fourth rank from the bud. Each kind of leaves were extracted by using maceration method with methanol as the dissolver. Soursop methanol extract was added with NaCMC (Natrium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose) and diluted at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% dan 25 b/v concentration. The antibacterium test was done by using agar diffusion method at the MHA (Mueller Hinton Agar) medium. After being incubated for 24 hours, the result showed that the biggest bioactivity result should by 25% concentration, either in soursop juvenile leaf for second or fourth rank. The biggest zone of inhibition diameters of soursop juvenile leaf for second or fourth rank, ordinally, are 18,5 mm and 22 mm to Staphylococcus aureus, whereas the biggest zone of inhibition diameters to Propionibacterium acnes are 9,5 mm. After 48 hours, the zone of inhibition diameters are declined up to 18 mm and 21 mm to Staphylococcus aureus, whereas zone of inhibition diameters to Propionibacterium acnes are declined up to 9 mm, are called bacteriostatic
