Weight simulator
Device applies compressive force to bone to minimize loss of bone calcium during weightlessness or bedrest. Force is applied through weights, or hydraulic, pneumatic or electrically actuated devices. Device is lightweight and easy to maintain and operate
On the design of a reliability circuit simulator
This paper describes the outcome of a study into the feasibility of a reliability circuit simulator for ICs in general and the critical parameters involved in particular. The necessary conditions are formulated that have to be fulfilled before any construction of the reliability simulator is meaningful or can be done at all. It has been found that failure mechanisms in the wear-out regime meet these conditions. Next, a general approach is given to make a simulator. This approach is actually derived from circuit simulator activities on hot carrier degradation and electromigration, respectively. Finally, the different groups of parameters are defined

Large-scale Reservoir Simulations on IBM Blue Gene/Q
This paper presents our work on simulation of large-scale reservoir models on
IBM Blue Gene/Q and studying the scalability of our parallel reservoir
simulators. An in-house black oil simulator has been implemented. It uses MPI
for communication and is capable of simulating reservoir models with hundreds
of millions of grid cells. Benchmarks show that our parallel simulator are
thousands of times faster than sequential simulators that designed for
workstations and personal computers, and the simulator has excellent
scalability
Control Strategy of Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulator EPOS 2.0 for Autonomous Docking Verification
This paper briefly describes the hybrid simulator system called European Proximity Operation Simulator (EPOS 2.0) and the
development of the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) docking simulation concept. A critical requirement for the docking simulation
of this HIL simulator is that the 6-DOF robots in the loop have to exactly mimic the dynamic response of the two satellites
during a contact operation. The main challenges to meet this requirement are in the stiffness of the robots, which is unlike
that of the satellites, as well as the time delay in the HIL simulator. The paper mainly presents the impedance parameter
identification concept for matching the impedance between the satellites impact model and the EPOS robots. In addition
it presents the contact dynamics model used, and the control strategies to meet the requirements of the docking simulator.
Finally it presents the preliminary results and future work
The role of the research simulator in the systems development of rotorcraft
The potential application of the research simulator to future rotorcraft systems design, development, product improvement evaluations, and safety analysis is examined. Current simulation capabilities for fixed-wing aircraft are reviewed and the requirements of a rotorcraft simulator are defined. The visual system components, vertical motion simulator, cab, and computation system for a research simulator under development are described
A Simulator for LLVM Bitcode
In this paper, we introduce an interactive simulator for programs in the form
of LLVM bitcode. The main features of the simulator include precise control
over thread scheduling, automatic checkpoints and reverse stepping, support for
source-level information about functions and variables in C and C++ programs
and structured heap visualisation. Additionally, the simulator is compatible
with DiVM (DIVINE VM) hypercalls, which makes it possible to load, simulate and
analyse counterexamples from an existing model checker
