Achievment of Indonesian athletes at International level are only resting on badminton, archery, and weight lifting. Meanwhile, other sports do not exhibit encouraging achievement. Agility is one of the important factor on sports including group and individual sports. This is an experimental research with randomized pretest posttest conrol group design. Sample are 75 students recruited from SMK Negeri 2 Tondano Kabupaten Minahasa. Sample was grouped into 5 groups, each group composed of 15 students. The five groups observed were group 1 with treatment of 4 x 30 m shuttle run, group 2 treated with 8 x 15 m shuttle run, group 3 with 12 x 10 m shuttle run, group 4 within 16 x 7.5 m shuttle run, and the last is control group. Exercise was carried out for 6 weeks with a frequent of 3 time per week. Agility pre and posttest data were analysed using anova oneway followed by LSD Post Hoct Test at 5% significant level. This study obtained that there were a significant different among the five groups observed. Shuttle run exercise method with dose of 16x7.5 m increase the highest agility

This study assessed potential physiological differences between the Ranger Challenge (RC) Competition team and junior year cadets in an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. The method included: RC (m = 11, f = 2) and junior year cadets (m = 7, f = 3) were assessed in the following areas: 1) quickness and agility (5-10-5 shuttle run), 2) total-body power (standing broad jump), and 3) grip strength (hand grip dynamometry) assessed. The 5-10-5 shuttle run was performed twice (opening once to the left and once to the right). The standing broad jump required that cadets stand with their toes behind a line, perform a maximum of three preparatory movements, triple extend their knees, hips, and ankles while using their upper body to propel them as far forward as possible. After the jump the distanced reached was measured from the line to the heel of the nearest foot. Hand grip dynamometry was performed once on each hand. The cadet held the dynamometer out to his or her side and squeezed it as they lowered it to their hip. The results were that there were no significant differences between groups for the 5-10-5 shuttle run (p = 0.91), standing broad jump (p = 0.49), or grip strength (p = 0.31). RC did not outperform

XYZ Shuttle service is a company that works in transportation service area and also one of the alternative transportations that can be used to pick and drop people to their destinations. XYZ Shuttle Service is shuttle service which have 2 types of services, one is request service where the user can order the shuttle to pick them up according to the address requested and will take the user to the requested destination address. The other service are regular service where the user will be picked up and delivered every day based from the order. One of the shuttle service company is XYZ shuttle service. Now, XYZ shuttle service still keep the order record in manual system, where the user is still using telephone to order the service. Because of that, sometimes the order record is not too accurate. Therefore, it need an information system to help and reduce the weaknesses of the manual system. This application of XYZ shuttle service based on Android is intended to help the user can order the shuttle service more easy and faster. This application will be built using HTML, Javascript, PHP language which will be converted into mobile application using Eclipse. This mobile application will also help user to identify the driver who will pick-up the user. It will help facilitate the pick-up process. Besides being able to assist in order shuttle service, this application also helps shuttle service company to record and process the order more quickly and accurately so it will help in the pick-up process. The manual system analysis process is conducted by survey to shuttle services.Based on test results, this application run well on some devices such as Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), Android 4.4 (Kitkat). The application can run the order service function, send the notification, view the order data, and display driver identity so make user to obtain information about the driver is run pretty well

Associations of sedentary behaviour, physical activity, blood pressure and anthropometric measures with cardiorespiratory fitness in children with cerebral palsy

Background - Children with cerebral palsy (CP) have poor cardiorespiratory fitness in comparison to their peers with typical development, which may be due to low levels of physical activity. Poor cardiorespiratory fitness may contribute to increased cardiometabolic risk. Purpose - The aim of this study was to determine the association between sedentary behaviour, physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness in children with CP. An objective was to determine the association between cardiorespiratory fitness, anthropometric measures and blood pressure in children with CP. Methods- This study included 55 ambulatory children with CP [mean (SD) age 11.3 (0.2) yr, range 6-17 yr; Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) levels I and II]. Anthropometric measures (BMI, waist circumference and waist-height ratio) and blood pressure were taken. Cardiorespiratory fitness was measured using a 10 m shuttle run test. Children were classified as low, middle and high fitness according to level achieved on the test using reference curves. Physical activity was measured by accelerometry over 7 days. In addition to total activity, time in sedentary behaviour and light, moderate, vigorous, and sustained moderate-to-vigorous activity (≥10 min bouts) were calculated. Results - Multiple regression analyses revealed that vigorous activity (β = 0.339, p<0.01), sustained moderate-to-vigorous activity (β = 0.250, p<0.05) and total activity (β = 0.238, p<0.05) were associated with level achieved on the shuttle run test after adjustment for age, sex and GMFCS level. Children with high fitness spent more time in vigorous activity than children with middle fitness (p<0.05). Shuttle run test level was negatively associated with BMI (r2 = -0.451, p<0.01), waist circumference (r2 = -0.560, p<0.001), waist-height ratio (r2 = -0.560, p<0.001) and systolic blood pressure (r2 = -0.306, p<0.05) after adjustment for age, sex and GMFCS level. Conclusions - Participation in physical activity, particularly at a vigorous intensity, is associated with high cardiorespiratory fitness in children with CP. Low cardiorespiratory fitness is associated with increased cardiometabolic risk

Background: Agility is one of the components of motor freshness required for all activities demmand the speed of change in the position of the body and its parts. To stimulate the form of agility, children must be active. Children on 4-5 years old is the golden age periode in which the ability of the child is growing rapidly and very well when given stimulation. One of stimulation that can be used to increase the agility of children in 4-5 years old is shuttle run. Objective: To determine shuttle run games effect on children agility ages 4-5 years. Methods: The study was a quasi experiment with pre and post test with control group design, the sample in the treatment group was given shuttle run games with a distance of 4-5 meters in 4 weeks with frequency 3 times a week. Measurements made with the agility shuttle run test with a distance of 10 meters using parameters such as a stopwatch. Data were analyzed using wilcoxon test to test the effect and influence of different test using mann whitney test. Results: There was an effect of shuttle run games on children agility aged 4-5 years after the statistical test using wilcoxon test with p-value 0,000 obtained in the treatment group and the control, and there are different effect after statistical test using mann whitney test was obtained p-value 0,000. Conclusion: There was an effect of shuttle run games on children agility ages 4-5 years

Closed cycle CO2 and CO electric discharge lasers were studied. An analytical investigation assessed scale-up parameters and design features for CO2, closed cycle, continuous wave, unstable resonator, electric discharge lasing systems operating in space and airborne environments. A space based CO system was also examined. The program objectives were the conceptual designs of six CO2 systems and one CO system. Three airborne CO2 designs, with one, five, and ten megawatt outputs, were produced. These designs were based upon five minute run times. Three space based CO2 designs, with the same output levels, were also produced, but based upon one year run times. In addition, a conceptual design for a one megawatt space based CO laser system was also produced. These designs include the flow loop, compressor, and heat exchanger, as well as the laser cavity itself. The designs resulted in a laser loop weight for the space based five megawatt system that is within the space shuttle capacity. For the one megawatt systems, the estimated weight of the entire system including laser loop, solar power generator, and heat radiator is less than the shuttle capacity
