A study of the development of the Language Planning and Policy (LPP) Field and English Education Policy in Japan

本論文は、様々な社会的要要素と複雑な関係性を持つ言語政策・計画を、研究分野の発展に注目し考察することを目的とする。時系列的に代表的研究例を挙げながら言語政策・計画研究分野の発展を概観する。また、日本における英語教育政策、特に高等学校の英語教育政策を日本の文脈の中で捉え、政策の変遷を辿る。最後に、今後の言語政策研究（英語教育政策を中心に）では、言語政策を多様な社会的要素との関連性の中で理解し、教師、生徒、学校、地域社会、政策立案者、教員研修実施者といった関係者の実践も研究の対象としていくことが必須であると結論づける。本論文は「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.5, No.1(2017/9）に査読を経て受理された

Swinburne’s Existential Individualism:His Poetry and Aesthetics in Relation to Romanticism and its Legacies

ヴィクトリア朝の詩人のなかで、正面からロマン派思想を受け止め、純粋な形で発展させたのは、スウィンバーンであるという主張を、スウィンバーンの美意識と実存主義にも似た思想の両面を分析することで論じたもの。スウィンバーンの評価は前期の官能的、退廃的な詩に集まることが多いが、拙論ではキャリアを通した詩作品の特徴をその思想的面を含んだ形で捉え、特にロマン主義との関連において議論する。スウィンバーンの印象主義的な美意識は、ペイターなどの同時代の文人と共通する部分もあるが、ロマン派文学から影響された理想主義や個人主義などと相まって、より実存主義的な方向性を向いている。その方向性は、ロマン派が限界とした現実と理想との乖離を乗り越えるための思想と見ることができることを、多様なテキストを渉猟しながら示した。本論文は「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.3, No.1(2015/10）に査読を経て受理された

The Impact of Institutions on Resource Utilization in Rural Agriculture:The Experience of Sri Lanka

In the 60 years since the Second World War ended scholars, policy makers, and international development institutions have paid increasing attention to the complex relationship between institutions and economic performance in developing countries. As noted North (1990: 61), it takes resources to transform inputs of land, labor, and capital into the output of goods and services and that transformation is a function not only of the technology employed, but of institutions as well. In this respect, together with the technology employed, institutions affect the performance of agricultural activities by their\effect on the transaction and transformation (production) costs that make up total costs. Therefore, in order to understand the causes of agricultural underperformance in developing countries, it is necessary to reexamine the role of institutions in agricultural development, their links, constraints and the effect of their changes. The Sense of Suspension as Ironic Pleasure: Aestheticism and the Critique of Romanticism in the Poetry of Dante Gabriel Rossetti

他の多くのヴィクトリア朝詩人同様に、ダンテ・ガブリエル・ロセッティはロマン派からの影響を受けている。本稿は、ロセッティにおけるロマン派受容の特徴がどのようなものかを複数の詩作品を通して論じたものである。ロマン派における拡大する世界観と対照的に、ロセッティの詩において、詩人の世界観はプライベートな心理的空間に常駐し、耽溺する。この詩風は、いわばロマン派の影響が皮肉な形で表出したものであり、現代詩の嚆矢となっていることを示した。さらにロセッティは単に「遅れてきたロマン派」ではなく、ロマン派的世界観の抱える皮肉そのものを探求した詩人であると結論づける。本論文は「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.4, No.1,2(2017/3）に査読を経て受理された

国際連合憲章の起草と人種平等への言及

In 1945, the United Nations Charter was signed in San Francisco after the United NationsConference on International Organization. In the first chapter, “Purposes and Principles,” four purposes are stated, and one of them refers to racial equality: to “achieve international co-operation . . . in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion.” Considering that President Wilson, 25 years ago, refused to accept the Japanese proposal for inserting a short clause about the abolition of racial discrimination into the Covenant of the League of Nations, the United Nation Charter accepted to bear a responsibility this time. Based on official documents of the time and secondary works, this article examines the origins and the driving forces both within and outside of the Roosevelt Administration that led to the inclusion of the clause. It draws attention to the substantial contribution of a private organization such as the Commission to Study the Organization of Peace and its close relationship with government officials. It concludes that the reference to racial equality was not the result of single organization or country, but of various countries and people who were concerned about the nature of the new international organization

小学校音楽科授業におけるアウトリーチ導入に関する一考察 ―箏の実践を通して―

近年、”アウトリーチ”という言葉を盛んに耳にするようになってきた。学校教育においては、総合的な学習の時間導入によって、このアウトリーチ活動が盛んに取り入れられるようになっていったという経緯があるが、音楽科に関しては、とりわけ和楽器など日本の伝統音楽の学習においてアウトリーチは活用されてきた。本論は、筆者の勤務校での和楽器に関する授業実践を通して、授業記録・子どもの発言記録やワークシートの分析などからアウトリーチ活動の効果的な導入に向けた方法を考察している。この論文は「鹿児島大学教育学部教育実践研究紀要」（第23巻2014年p31-41）に掲載された論文を査読により加筆修正し、「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.1, No.2(2014/3）に採択されたものである

授業収録とe-Learning教材による授業時間外学習の提案

個々の学生が自らのペースに応じて授業時間外学習を進め，通常の対面授業内容の理解を補うための学習プログラムを開発し，そのプログラムを試行した．２つの補助的学習教材のアクセス履歴から，本学習プログラムが授業時間外学習の促進につながることを明らかにした．しかし，これらは定期試験に集中利用される傾向がみられ，授業の予復習教材として十分に利活用されておらず，学習プログラムに改善の余地がみられた．この論文は「日本教育工学会研究報告集JSET」（14-2 2014年p29-36）に掲載された論文を査読し、「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.2, No.2(2015/3）に採択されたものである

農業生産性と農地保有におけるフォーマルとインフォーマル経済社会制度の影響

Institutions establish the rights to use resources efficiently for economic activities. Thus, this study focus on how institutions, specifically property rights for land, have induced utilisation of limited factor endowment, particularly land for achieving maximum productivity. Various land institutions exists as survival strategies of the farmer community, allowing farmers to manipulate the existing land regulations and mobilize the land resources, so as more efficient farmers have access to large land extents to cultivate, thus improve the productivity. Furthermore, the study found that farmers with a formal land deeds do not necessarily achieve higher land productivity. But, conservation of land resources and use of them efficiently for achieving high productivity are largely depending on the informal institutional factors rather than formal institutions.この論文は『研究論文集－教育系・文系の九州地区国立大学間連携論文集－』Vol.3, No.1(2009)に査読を経て受理されたものである
