    Project Based Learning Model Based on Simple Teaching Tools and Critical Thinking Skills

    This study aims to determine the application of PjBL model based on simple props and critical thinking skills of students in the School Laboratory course. This research uses research type Pre-Experimental Design with sample of all students of semester II which programmed Laboratory School on even semester 2016/2017 in Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Papua. The results showed that the props designed by students 74.0% ± SD 4.2 or are in a good category. Assessment of practical worksheet covers the aspect of format, content, language/writing, and benefits/functions obtained 80.3% ± SD 7.4 or are in the very good category. Critical thinking skills of the students during the learning that is 66.7% ± SD 4.9 or are in a good category. Therefore the application of PjBL learning based on simple props can be used to develop critical thinking skills

    Implementation of Project Based Learning Through Making a Video as the Alternative Assignment and Its Effect Toward Motivation and Comprehension of Students in SMA MADANIA BOGOR

    This research originated from the interviewing between the researcher as a physics teacher to some students about Physics assignments. Based on the interview, student felt so bored in doing their assignment and have no motivation in finishing it. Because there is no motivation in doing the assignment therefore the understanding of the students could not be increasing. Based on Curtis (2009:1) that motivation of the students could be increased by implementing Project Based learning (PBL). This research tried to see the influence of PBL toward the motivation and the understanding of the students. In this assignment students are asked to making a video about the application of Newton's law of Motion in daily Life. From this video students analyzing why do the video can categorize as the application of Newton's Law of Motion in daily Life. In making the video as the project, students are guided by the rubric, the timeline and also the goal of the project. Students have to finish their project in fifteen days, and teacher scored their project based on two criteria: the contents and presentation. Ten best video would be shown in front of the whole students in an event in the school. To see the understanding and the motivation of the students after finishing the project, the teacher gave the test and also the questionnaire about the project and their comprehension of Newton's Law of Motion. According to the questionnaire we can see that more than 60% of the students agree that the project can increase their motivation and also their understanding. The increasing of students comprehension can be seen from the test that given to students. From this research we can inferred that project base learning can stimulus student's motivation and also the understanding

    Project-based Learning to Raise Students\u27 Speaking Ability: Its\u27 Effect and Implementation (a Mix Method Research in Speaking II Subject at Stain Ponorogo)

    This research tries to attempt to know the effect of Project-based learning toward speaking ability and its\u27 effective implementation. The design of the research sequential was designs in which data that are collected and examined in one stage inform the data collected in the next phase. This research applied a quantitative design for the first stage. It is categorized into causal comparative method, or ex post facto research design and the second stage is qualitative design. Population in this research was the 2 STAIN Ponorogo. The total numbers of the students are 85 students and the sample was 70 students. The researcher used questionnaires, test, observation and interview as data collection. Since the hypothesis is intended to find the effect of the Project-Based Learning toward students\u27 speaking ability, the Simple Linier Regression by using SPSS 19.00 for Windows was applied. The second phase, the result of observation and interview were analyzed by Miles and Huberman\u27s view of qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result of analysis showed that there was significant effect of Project-Based Learning toward students\u27 speaking ability. Moreover, the effective procedures for the implementation of Project-Based Learning are (a) dividing the class into group, (b) explaining the project and (c) performing the project. At last, the students showed significantly positive attitude toward the implementation of Project-Based Learning in speaking class. semester of English Department Students in STAIN Ponorogo.     Project Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Berpikir Kreatifsiswa SD Pada Materi Makanan Dan Kesehatan

    Kenyataan menunjukkan pembelajaran IPA masih berfokus pada buku teks dan jarang menggunakan model pembelajaran yang bervariatif sehingga kreativitas dan penguasaan konsep siswa menjadi terbatas. Tujuan penelitian penerapan model PBL untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Swasta Kartika Siliwangi XIX-3 Kabupaten Garut, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 66 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 33 siswa. Analisis penelitian menggunakan N-Gain dan pengujian hipotesis rumus t-test dengan menggunanakan software SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelas ekspositori dengan perbandingan di kelas eksperimen N-Gain 0,472 kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol N-Gain 0,223 kategori rendah.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan t-test hasinya dengan nilai sig 0.009< α yaitu 0,025 artinya ditolak maka terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen

    Implementasi Project Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian dan Prestasi Belajar Mahasiswa dalam Pembuatan Alat Peraga Matematika Inovatif

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dalam pembuatan alat peraga Matematika di sekolah menengah melalui pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Tulungagung semester IV Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika tahun 2015/2016 sebanyak 40 orang dan terbagi dalam 7 kelompok. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK dengan acuan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dan dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pretest, lembar penilaian desain alat peraga, lembar pengamatan kerja sama, lembar penilaian psikomotorik dan lembar penilaian alat peraga. Data analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari siklus 1 disarankan ada perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada siklus 2 dengan kelompok yang sama dilakukan analisis penilaian dengan hasil penelitian, yaitu : 1 kelompok memiliki kemampuan sangat baik dalam mendesain alat peraga, ada 4 kelompok baik dan 2 kelompok cukup baik. Pada penilaian psikomotorik telah menunjukkan 3 kelompok dengan kriteria penugasan sangat baik dan 3 kelompok baik dan 1 kelompok cukup baik. Sedangkan penilaian pada aspek kerja sama kelompok menunjukkan 1 kelompok sangat baik, 3 kelompok baik dan 3 kelompok cukup baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut maka Project Based Learning (PjBL) mampu meningkatkan kemandirian dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dalam kelompok untuk membuat alat peraga dengan hasil pemikiran sendiri maupun dari alat peraga yang sudah ada

    This research aims to determine the effect of Project Based Learning to increase student's motivation, creativity, critical thinking and cognitive abilities in learning biology. This quasi-experimental research design was "The Non Equivalent pretest-posttest control group design". Based on further testing of LSD showed that the project based learning can influence students 'motivation is higher by 14%, a 31.1% increase students' creativity, critical thinking skills increased by 34% and the cognitive abilities of students also increased 28.9% from the learning that is given without project. Project based learning motivates students to learn independently find their own information from various sources, such as a team of experts, environment, media and internet. Students are motivated to cooperate with the team to generate creative ideas that then manifested in a product. Learning project trained to make students think critically about the contextual issues relating to biological materials through the themes they choose, so as to increase students' cognitive abilities from analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creation
