I piani settoriali a scala urbana

Il contributo propone un focus su alcuni strumenti di settore che affrontano specifiche tematiche alla scala urbana, con particolare riferimento agli strumenti per la tutela della qualità ambientale e per il governo della mobilità. Si evidenziano, in entrambi i casi, le significative interrelazioni tra problematiche ambientali e scelte relative all’evoluzione/trasformazione dei contesti urbani e al governo della mobilità e la conseguente necessità di una più stretta integrazione tra strumenti generali e settoriali, difficilmente conseguibile attraverso il solo coordinamento a posteriori tra strumenti elaborati separatamente e sulla base di approcci settoriali

Analisi di mobillità pedonale mediante dati di telefonia georeferenziati

Al fine di organizzare al meglio le città del futuro occorrono nuovi strumenti in grado di analizzare e comprendere il comportamento delle persone nelle aree urbane. In questo elaborato viene illustrata la costruzione di un modello teorico relativo alla mobilità pedonale nella città di Venezia a partire dall'analisi di dati di telefonia mobile, rilevati nella giornata del 26 Febbraio 2017. Vengono in seguito mostrate le differenti fasi necessarie alla realizzazione del modello a partire dall'elaborazione preliminare dei data set a disposizione e focalizzando poi l'attenzione sugli algoritmi di georeferenziazione disponibili in letteratura. Una volta ultimata l'analisi dati, vengono esposti i concetti teorici che stanno alla base del modello realizzato ponendo l'accento sul carattere stocastico del fenomeno osservato si rivolge lo sguardo al risultato ottenuto portando alla luce le verifiche a cui viene sottoposto e le criticità che emergono nell'affrontare questo studio

La cultura dei servizi di accoglienza migranti in Italia. Una ricerca esplorativa [The culture of migrant reception services in Italy. An exploratory research]

Italy has a long history of immigration, which has become part of the country’s landscape in a complex and varied way, and has led to significant changes in important contexts such as in the school, the work place, and in the provision of welfare services. And yet, immigration policies still consist in emergency measures that do not recognize the phenomenon in its long -standing and structural dimension. In addition, public opinion is concerned as a result of the alarmist distortion of this issue, as shown by the gapbetween data on immigration and perceived immigration. Since in this research we take into consideration collusively shared experiences, these misunderstandings can not be corrected by providing more information on the real data; we posit that the emotional scope must be recognized in order to address this issue. In particular, we asked ourselves how this context -changes brought by immigration, public opinion, and government policies -is repre sented within the migrant Accordingly, we interviewed a group of reception staff from the Roman area on the type of service that they think they are offering. The results show how, in their experience, this complex reality of immigration is not evoked: the experience within the services is isolated from the Italian narrative and context. However, the voice of migrants and their point of view, emerge as a resource within these services, as openness rather than isolation

Self-employment in the midst of unemployment : the cases of Spain and the United States

This article examines the relationship between unemployment and selfemployment. The empirical work is framed by a job search model with learning, where self-employment is an alternative for jobless workers. Consistent with the model's prediction, we find that for both spain and the United States, duration of unemployment significantly increases the probability of becoming self-employed. Further analysis showed that part-time work and the absence of Social Security coverage are more likely to be aseociated with self-employed workers. We also find that, in Spain, those self-employed who do not hire any persone earn eignificantly less than other comparable worker

Un giardino in tutti i sensi

L’argomento principale della tesi, è la progettazione ex novo di un giardino che si trova in una struttura privata a Viareggio di recupero per disabili di varia natura, ma aperto al pubblico. Sono state sviluppate, quindi all’interno della tesi, varie argomentazioni che riguardano: la contestualizzazione del centro A.S.L. che ospiterà il giardino e l’analisi delle attività che vi si svolgono; la geografia e le caratteristiche ambientali di Viareggio, sito in cui è ubicato il progetto; le varie fasi che portano alla progettazione di un giardino con caratteristiche adatte ad essere vissuto e percorso da persone diversamente abili; l’analisi delle condizioni del sito allo stato attuale e degli esemplari arborei da abbattere; la realizzazione grafica del giardino tramite l’uso del programma Autocad; la scelta delle piante adatte a richiamare la percezione dei cinque sensi; la stima monetaria dei costi per la realizzazione; l’utilizzo e lo sviluppo dell’horticultural therapy e l’eliminazione delle barriere architettoniche. L’intento principale della mia tesi, è quindi quello di fornire un’esperienza di progettazione accessibile, resa interessante dal fatto di utilizzare piante in grado di risvegliare i cinque sensi e creare quindi un luogo dove rilassarsi imparando a conoscere la natura ma allo stesso tempo stimolare comunque l’esercizio di quelle sensazioni spesso dimenticate. Il giardino viene pensato per essere aperto al pubblico anche se si trova in una struttura privata, e quindi è stato importante seguire le regole principali della progettazione di spazi verdi pubblici, integrandola con i principi base della progettazione accessibile, per rendere il giardino completamente utilizzabile e sicuro per persone disabili, pensando infatti a pavimentazioni e ad arredi appositi. Tutto il lavoro è stato svolto prendendo in considerazione le caratteristiche benefiche che le piante hanno sulle persone, tenendo conto di quella che è la “scienza”dell’horticultural therapy, terapia capace di migliorare lo stato di salute degli individui, sia da un punto di vista prettamente fisico che psicologico, che comprende l'attività di giardinaggio, la coltivazione di piante e di ortaggi; tutte attività che permettono la cura dell’ansia attraverso la stimolazione dei sensi del tatto, dell’olfatto e della vista

La relazione che organizza il contesto sanitario: domanda dell’utenza e risposta dei servizi sanitari, nel territorio e nell’ospedale - The relationship which organizes the healthcare context: users’ demand and response of healthcare services, in the territory and the hospital

Our intent is to present citizens’ demand of health care services in Italy through a research structured in three studies. We used the Emotional Text Analysis (ETA) to lead the three s tudies: the first study regarded the citizens’expectations of the healthcare services, the second study regarded the point of view of the hospital personnel (medical doctors and nurses), the third regarded the point of view of the General Practitioners onthe health care services. These three studies are briefly presented. Data and outcome of an Assumed Similarity Test applied to all experimental subjects of the three studies in order to make a comparison among them, are also presented. The findings of the Emotional Text Analysis show that citizens, potential users of health services, center their requests on their individual subjectivity, and seek answers both to their suffering and to the feeling of alienation that characterizes the being sick feeling that makes them go to a medical doctor. For their part, general practitioners and hospital doctors immediately transform this subjective feeling in an objective medical diagnosis. Here a first gap emerges between patient’s demand and medical response, leavingthe possibility of an alliance on the diagnosis in order to jointly fight the disease. It has long been in place though a change that has expelled the patient also from sharing the diagnostic process, increasingly taken from self-centered dynamics within the healthcare system. This widens the gap between the request of the citizens and the response of the health services, that contributes to that conflictual growth to which defensive medicine gives a dysfunctional answer. The Assumed Similarity Test contributes to the interpretation of the health care dynamic identified in the Emotional Text Analysis; particularly in regard to the unfolding conflict, given by the hypothesis emerging from the data analysis, that a feeling of closeness for the hospital personnel goes along with an emotional stance of overpowering the othe
