In order to reduce pressure from a backlog of court cases and promote social harmony, Chinese government promulgated the People’s Mediation Law. However, compared with the Japanese ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution), the people’s mediation system has some problems, for example, the professional level is not high, the legal and systematic mediation weakens functions of mediation and it is lack of the good connection between the people’s mediation and the litigation. Therefore, the people’s mediation system needs further improvement and perfection in the period of social transition
Study on Translation Methods of Representation of Defamiliarization Devices in C-E Translation of Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk
It has been almost one decade since Lu Xun’s great masterpiece, Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk first published. Although the book is mostly created by simple expression with few rhetorical and ornamental language, it can still bring readers unique aesthetic experience, which has a close relationship with the application of defamiliarization devices created by the author. Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang’s translation of Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk successfully recreated the literariness by reproducing the defamiliarization devices. This paper aims at focusing on the translation methods they adopt to deal with the defamiliarization devices in the original, so as to guide other translators’ translation process of reproducing the defamiliarization devices. Besides that, the aesthetic effects of defamiliarization are also analyzed in this paper in order to increase translators’ awareness of defamiliarization
Tradition and modernity on fundamentals and diversities of Mediterranean architecture
Firstly, this article focuses on the origins of modern architecture in addition to the simple binomial academism/modernism that sometimes gives little clarification about the aesthetic, formal or typological options of southern European countries. By widening the spectrum of cultural, mythical and ideological influences at the beginning of the 20th century, other insights are possible, not only with regard to the modern period, but also in the understanding of some paths of Mediterranean contemporary production. In short, this article aims to raise two main questions and how can they be related: 1) Does the identity of Mediterranean architecture come from common fundamentals or from a richness of contrasts and diversities? 2) Can these fundamentals and diversities become “operative” in architectural/urban design? And how do they respond to the globalization phenomena and the possibility of real sustainable achievements

The Aesthetics of Resistance
Talking about resistance means raising the question of opposition, of denying all attempts at neutralizing opposites, which would be typical of ideological construction, either political or aesthetic. This essay investigates the meaning and the reasons of resistance according to a theoretical, aesthetic, and cultural point of view. The thesis is that resistance has to be considered as an articulation of difference, and that means following a different logic of thought, no longer rigid or monolithic but plural, like a new grammar, syntax, and practice of creativity, challenge, provocation, multiplicity, and pluralism. In this sense the aesthetics of resistance is an art of difference, the capability of creating cultural formations that provide elegance and refinemen
FIGURI DE SFINȚI IERARHI IN ICONOGRAFIA ORTODOXĂ DE SECOL XIV ÎN SPAȚIUL ROMÂNESC
Figures of Holy Hierarchs in the Fourteenth Century Orthodox Iconography in the Romanian Space. The present study aims to establish cultural interconnections both between Wallachia and Transylvania and between them and the areas of Eastern and Western artistic influence, with the aim of identifying the transfer of clothing models from one cultural area to another, as well as to identify the reason behind the implementation of some of the figures of hierarchs in the mural theme of some of the churches. The paper notes several types of hierarchical figures organized according to the type of clothing and the context in which they are depicted. The representations of the holy hierarchs in the 14th century fresco reveal political, confessional and cultural links internally between the Romanian Countries, but especially externally, between them and the Western-Italian and Eastern-Constantinopolitan and Balkan areas. The origins of the hierarchical models reveal not only the areas of artistic influence but also a desire to affirm the newly established orthodox metropolitanates church and principalities in the Romanian Countries by adopting a predominantly monastic iconographic canon, as confessional validation in the face of Catholic proselytism.

Contemporary Art Or Contemporary Arts? Remarks on "Le Paradigme de L’art Contemporain" by Nathalie Heinich
This paper provides several polemic comments regarding the concept of the “paradigm of contemporary art” presented by Nathalie Heinich in her book entitled "Le paradigme de l’art contemporain. Structure d’une révolution artistique". The paper questions the accuracy of the analogy between changes within artworld that took place in the 20th century and the structure of scientific revolutions discussed by Thomas Kuhn. The author also points to the incompleteness of the proposal of the French sociologist, who neglects artistic activities that occur outside galleries and institutional art circles
