Musical Nouns of Multitude
In the 14th and 15th centuries, a large number of so-called nouns of multitude made their way into the English language. Most of them were colorful designations for groups of birds and animals. Surviving to the present day are such surprising expressions as a shrewdness of apes, an exaltation of larks, a skulk of foxes, and a murmuration of starlings
Simulating dynamic systems using Linear Time Calculus theories
To appear in Theory and Practice of Logic Programming (TPLP).
Dynamic systems play a central role in fields such as planning, verification,
and databases. Fragmented throughout these fields, we find a multitude of
languages to formally specify dynamic systems and a multitude of systems to
reason on such specifications. Often, such systems are bound to one specific
language and one specific inference task. It is troublesome that performing
several inference tasks on the same knowledge requires translations of your
specification to other languages. In this paper we study whether it is possible
to perform a broad set of well-studied inference tasks on one specification.
More concretely, we extend IDP3 with several inferences from fields concerned
with dynamic specifications
Multitude libre/Multitude serve.
DOCTRINAIRE ARCHIETYPES OF MACROECONOMIC POLITICS
In modern and democratic society conditions, which is characterized by a multitude of economic doctrines, as a reflection of the multitude of parties system that exists, economic policies are directed and appreciated in comparison with the main doctrinaire currents in social and economic life. But, solving social and economic problems can not offer the expected results by using only the economic policies generated by the classical and neo-classical theories thus being necessary the emerging and development of some new theories.settling up; commercial transaction; international economical globalization; internalization; GATT/OMC;
Wilsonian renormalization group and the Lippmann-Schwinger equation with a multitude of cutoff parameters
The Wilsonian renormalization group approach to the Lippmann-Schwinger
equation with a multitude of cutoff parameters is introduced. A system of
integro-differential equations for the cutoff-dependent potential is obtained.
As an illustration, a perturbative solution of these equations with two cutoff
parameters for a simple case of an S-wave low-energy potential in the form of a
Taylor series in momenta is obtained. The relevance of the obtained results for
the effective field theory approach to nucleon-nucleon scattering is discussed.Comment: 6 pages, no figure
