Spectral Purity Enhancement via Polyphase Multipath Circuits
The central question of this paper is: can we enhance the spectral purity of nonlinear circuits by using polyphase multipath circuits? The basic idea behind polyphase multipath circuits is to split the nonlinear circuits into two or more paths and exploit phase differences between these paths to cancel undesired distortion products.\ud
It turns out that it is very well possible to use polyphase multipath circuits to cancel distortion products produced by a nonlinear circuit. Unfortunately, there are also some spectral components that cannot be canceled with the polyphase multipath circuits
Online multipath convolutional coding for real-time transmission
Most of multipath multimedia streaming proposals use Forward Error Correction
(FEC) approach to protect from packet losses. However, FEC does not sustain
well burst of losses even when packets from a given FEC block are spread over
multiple paths. In this article, we propose an online multipath convolutional
coding for real-time multipath streaming based on an on-the-fly coding scheme
called Tetrys. We evaluate the benefits brought out by this coding scheme
inside an existing FEC multipath load splitting proposal known as Encoded
Multipath Streaming (EMS). We demonstrate that Tetrys consistently outperforms
FEC in both uniform and burst losses with EMS scheme. We also propose a
modification of the standard EMS algorithm that greatly improves the
performance in terms of packet recovery. Finally, we analyze different
spreading policies of the Tetrys redundancy traffic between available paths and
observe that the longer propagation delay path should be preferably used to

Simulation of an automatically-controlled STOL aircraft in a microwave landing system multipath environment
The simulated response is described of a STOL aircraft to Microwave Landing System (MLS) multipath errors during final approach and touchdown. The MLS azimuth, elevation, and DME multipath errors were computed for a relatively severe multipath environment at Crissy Field California, utilizing an MLS multipath simulation at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. A NASA/Ames six-degree-of-freedom simulation of an automatically-controlled deHavilland C-8A STOL aircraft was used to determine the response to these errors. The results show that the aircraft response to all of the Crissy Field MLS multipath errors was small. The small MLS azimuth and elevation multipath errors did not result in any discernible aircraft motion, and the aircraft response to the relatively large (200-ft (61-m) peak) DME multipath was noticeable but small
SRA: Fast Removal of General Multipath for ToF Sensors
A major issue with Time of Flight sensors is the presence of multipath
interference. We present Sparse Reflections Analysis (SRA), an algorithm for
removing this interference which has two main advantages. First, it allows for
very general forms of multipath, including interference with three or more
paths, diffuse multipath resulting from Lambertian surfaces, and combinations
thereof. SRA removes this general multipath with robust techniques based on
optimization. Second, due to a novel dimension reduction, we are able to
produce a very fast version of SRA, which is able to run at frame rate.
Experimental results on both synthetic data with ground truth, as well as real
images of challenging scenes, validate the approach
On the Non-Coherent Wideband Multipath Fading Relay Channel
We investigate the multipath fading relay channel in the limit of a large
bandwidth, and in the non-coherent setting, where the channel state is unknown
to all terminals, including the relay and the destination. We propose a
hypergraph model of the wideband multipath fading relay channel, and show that
its min-cut is achieved by a non-coherent peaky frequency binning scheme. The
so-obtained lower bound on the capacity of the wideband multipath fading relay
channel turns out to coincide with the block-Markov lower bound on the capacity
of the wideband frequency-division Gaussian (FD-AWGN) relay channel. In certain
cases, this achievable rate also meets the cut-set upper-bound, and thus
reaches the capacity of the non-coherent wideband multipath fading relay

Multilevel MDA-Lite Paris Traceroute
Since its introduction in 2006-2007, Paris Traceroute and its Multipath
Detection Algorithm (MDA) have been used to conduct well over a billion IP
level multipath route traces from platforms such as M-Lab. Unfortunately, the
MDA requires a large number of packets in order to trace an entire topology of
load balanced paths between a source and a destination, which makes it
undesirable for platforms that otherwise deploy Paris Traceroute, such as RIPE
Atlas. In this paper we present a major update to the Paris Traceroute tool.
Our contributions are: (1) MDA-Lite, an alternative to the MDA that
significantly cuts overhead while maintaining a low failure probability; (2)
Fakeroute, a simulator that enables validation of a multipath route tracing
tool's adherence to its claimed failure probability bounds; (3) multilevel
multipath route tracing, with, for the first time, a Traceroute tool that
provides a router-level view of multipath routes; and (4) surveys at both the
IP and router levels of multipath routing in the Internet, showing, among other
things, that load balancing topologies have increased in size well beyond what
has been previously reported as recently as 2016. The data and the software

An Efficient Method for GPS Multipath Mitigation Using the Teager-Kaiser-Operator-based MEDLL
An efficient method for GPS multipath mitigation is proposed. The motivation for this proposed method is to integrate the Teager-Kaiser Operator (TKO) with the Multipath Estimating Delay Lock Loop (MEDLL) module to mitigate the GPS multipath efficiently. The general implementation process of the proposed method is that we first utilize the TKO to operate on the received signal’s Auto-Correlation Function (ACF) to get an initial estimate of the multipaths. Then we transfer the initial estimated results to the MEDLL module for a further estimation. Finally, with a few iterations which are less than those of the original MEDLL algorithm, we can get a more accurate estimate of the Line-Of-Sight (LOS) signal, and thus the goal of the GPS multipath mitigation is achieved. The simulation results show that compared to the original MEDLL algorithm, the proposed method can reduce the computation load and the hardware and/or software consumption of the MEDLL module, meanwhile, without decreasing the algorithm accuracy
