Factors Affecting the Use of the Learning Management System inUniversities (A Case Study in Indonesia University of Education). Indonesia University ofEducation has been built LMS to support learning processes. The focus is on factorsaffecting the use of LMS in supporting effective and efficient learning processes. Inthis research the writer used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to find outthose factors. The data were collected using the survey technique and wereanalyzed by means of the multivariate statistic method. Learning Management System Berbasis Cloud sebagai Alternatif Pembelajaran Bagi Guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama
The purpose of this paper is to see an increase in the knowledge of Majelis Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) of Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota after a training of Cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) using Moodlecloud and ask their opinions about the use of LMS in learning in their Subjects. The experimental design used to see the increase in the knowledge of the participants in this training was pre-experimental using the one-group pre-test post-test design. The teachers involved in the training were 15 people. Their opinion on the use of LMS for learning was asked through a questionnaire. The data shows that there is an increase in the teacher's knowledge in managing LMS using Moodlecloud, and from the questionnaire it appears that they agree that the use of LMS in their learning is interesting, practical, motivating and easy to use. Gyrus Higher Learning Management System
Our project was to develop a prototype learning management system for use of higher education for our sponsor, Gyrus Systems. This consisted of creating a MySQL relational database to store user and class information, to design and code a user interface that emphasized user experience, and to implement functionalities for each user role.
Early in the design phase we outlined which features were must haves, in order to demonstrate an adequate prototype, and had this list approved by our sponsor. They were then divided into two roles. The role of “student” has the ability to submit assignments, get information from their instructor, and receive and review grades for submitted assignments. The role of “professor” has the ability to post assignments, receive and grade student submissions, send their students information about the class, and post materials for the students to review.
The application is hosted on a shared web server and the work was done through a cPanel Portal. The UI is constructed with a custom bootstrap and our functional code is in jQuery. Transactions between our front-end and the MySQL database are handled in PHP.
Our final product is a functional web-application that accommodates the must haves outlined in our original design. The main pages are the page for class information, the page for viewing grades, the page for viewing announcements, and the dashboard containing quick information. Learning management system is one of the key tools used in educational
institutes to facilitate e-learning. There is remarkable digital divide among
urban and rural areas. In this paper, we present a model for providing
e-learning services to remote/rural areas in order to promote and facilitate
modern education. A dedicated resource center, hosting the learning management
system, facilitates e-learning centers through Internet. The overall goal of
this model is to have a cost-effective learning environment equipped with
latest technologies to provide learners an opportunity to get insight into new
information and communication technologies and e-learning environment. The
model offers new teaching methodology with enhance utilization of learning
management system in teaching and learning. Basic characteristics and technical
aspects will be considered as well. The study will also promote development and

Learning Management System Development with Application of Asynchronous Learning Method in STMIK IBBI Medan
This article will explain asynchronous learn- ing system using attractive discussion forums and video teaching materials features for user so that the devel- opment of both features will increase e-learning system USAge by students and lecturers which can eventually im- prove the students' absorption on the provided teaching materials, increase the active participation of students, improve self-learning ability, and to improve the quality of learning materials. The method used in this study by distributing questionnaires in online form to stakeholders users consisting of lecturers and students with the num- ber of respondents is 225 people and author use model ADDIE which focuses on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation as development design. Results of this study is an application of web-based asynchronous learning which can be used by students and lecturers with the results of the application evaluation is based on a survey to students and lecturers. From this study, can be concluded that to support online learning with asynchronous method using the video learning feature in online lecture needs to be developed in order to support the science transformation process from lecturers to students. Adaptive Data Stream Management System Using Learning Automata
In many modern applications, data are received as infinite, rapid,
unpredictable and time- variant data elements that are known as data streams.
Systems which are able to process data streams with such properties are called
Data Stream Management Systems (DSMS). Due to the unpredictable and time-
variant properties of data streams as well as system, adaptivity of the DSMS is
a major requirement for each DSMS. Accordingly, determining parameters which
are effective on the most important performance metric of a DSMS (i.e.,
response time) and analysing them will affect on designing an adaptive DSMS. In
this paper, effective parameters on response time of DSMS are studied and
analysed and a solution is proposed for DSMSs' adaptivity. The proposed
adaptive DSMS architecture includes a learning unit that frequently evaluates
system to adjust the optimal value for each of tuneable effective. Learning
Automata is used as the learning mechanism of the learning unit to adjust the
value of tuneable effective parameters. So, when system faces some changes, the
learning unit increases performance by tuning each of tuneable effective
parameters to its optimum value. Evaluation results illustrate that after a
while, parameters reach their optimum value and then DSMS's adaptivity will be
improved considerably
