The Challenge: Innovation for Refugees and Displaced Populations
One of the great challenges of our time is how to help refugees and displaced populations, and how to prevent the causes in the first place. Every minute, 24 people around the world are forced to flee their homes. That’s 34,000 people a day who leave everything behind in the hope of finding safety and a better tomorrow. The impact of war, political, racial and religious conflict, and environmental crises of famine and climate change, have caused great suffering and there is a great opportunity to do better.
The issues these populations and the countries who receive them face are diverse and complex. They include public health, housing/built environment, cultural integration, public safety, employment/economic and more.
How can innovation address these challenges? How do we create the social systems and products to support a healthy, safe and integrated program for refugees? How do we address the physical, emotional, and social needs of refugees to restore hope and opportunity? The solutions may be as far ranging as the challenges, exploring the acute needs during a crisis, as well as the chronic needs of the permanently displaced; looking at immigration and adjustments to new cultures. We encourage participants to draw upon all disciplines, from health professions to architecture, engineering to design, ethics, communication and every way of thinking we have, to find better ways to innovate on physical solutions, processes, policies, systems, and more.

The Role of Interior Design Elements in Attracting K-pop Lovers at Mujigae Restaurants in Bandung
The existence of Korean culture has become increasingly well-known by Indonesian people, it has become a venue for restaurant entrepreneurs to compete hard to win the hearts of consumers. Korean-themed restaurants are now increasingly appearing in Indonesia, including in Bandung. Korean-themed restaurants in Bandung are not just offering unique Korean menus, but interior design is of particular concern so that visitors can enjoy a different atmosphere. One of them is Mujigae restaurant, Korean-themed restaurant that carries the Halyu wave modern culture of the Korean Pop or known as K-Pop. This study aims to analyze the form of achievement and implementation of K-pop-themed interior design with the modern atmosphere of Korea. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through observations validated through the Discussion Group Forum. In its efforts to achieve a distinctive Korean atmosphere, this restaurant in addition to utilizing the fame of K-pop artists also implements the characteristics of a vibrant, cheerful, colorful, and energetic K-pop music style that is felt in the atmosphere of its interior. The atmosphere of the space is increasingly manifested through other supporting elements in the form of tableware used as well as videos and music that deliberately play K-pop music. The results obtained regarding the implementation of K-pop-themed interior design are applied to several elements, namely in furniture, murals, two-dimensional decoration objects, lighting, and audio-visual media.

The Application of Green Design in the Interior Room in Terms of Material Selection
Design with the Green Design approach is now starting to get more attention in interior planning in big cities in Indonesia. Human awareness about the environment and healthy living space is a driving factor. In addition, the application of Green Design in the interior provides benefits such as increased employee productivity, soundness, selling points, especially for prospective (corporate) international tenants and various government reliefs for those who have Green certification. Based on research, one of the causes of damage to environmental conditions is due to the presence of buildings / high rise buildings (the interior is part of the building). The use of materials in the interior is often not environmentally friendly and does not pay attention to the health of the people who are active in it. The results of this study, one of which is intended as a guide (initial introduction) in designing specifically for students (interior design program) who will become professionals in the future.

The Influence Of Interior Design To Prevent Crime Actions In Autimatic Teller Machine (ATM) Room
This study departs from the phenomenon of increasing crime that occurred at the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM). The rise of crime at ATMs does not only occur in Indonesia, but almost all over the world. Crimes at ATMs have occurred from the very beginning the ATM was introduced to the public, until now. Crimes that occur at ATMs are mostly in the form of robberies which sometimes lead to murder. This study looks for interior variables that can increase the sense of security of ATM machine room users so as to suppress the intentions of criminals to act in them. Interior variables are obtained from several theories related to the prevention of criminal acts at ATMs, human safety perception and recommendations related to the prevention of existing crime. The results obtained from a number of recommendations related to crime prevention and theories related to the perception of safe humans that produce two main interior variables, namely; visual oppenes and territoriality. The design of an ATM room using these two main variables is expected to be able to provide a sense of human security when they want to visit and / or are in an ATM room. The results of the study are expected to provide an overview of the form of ATM space that can increase the user\u27s sense of security so that it can reduce the occurrence of criminal acts. This research is also expected to be an ATM room design standard to suit human basic needs, one of which is security.

Elements of interior architectural design against stylish approaches
The importance of this book is related to different reasons. Firstly
it deals with interior architectural design that is a key topic in
architectural practice even if it is a neglected subject in most schools
of architecture nowadays as “interior design is often misunderstood
as only a kind of decoration”.[1] On the contrary, as Prof. Chen
Yi states, “we believe that interior design and architectural design
were indistinguishable since the beginning of the civilization”.[2]
As a matter of fact interior space is “the space enclosed by walls,
wherever they are arranged or configured. It is primary and
characterizing of every architectural work, it is addressed to the
fruition by whom it is going through, crossing or stopping; […]
it has a meaning clearly distinct from that of the other figurative
arts…”.[3]

MURAL AND GRAFITTI APPLICATION ON HOSTEL INTERIOR DESIGN
Hostel gains its popularity due to the rapid growth of urban tourism in Indonesia. The hostel not only offers afforda- ble accommodation, but it also has a more innovative design. In the current social media age, most of the hostel need to be photogenic because the interior has become a part of a branding strategy. Since most of the hostel markets through OTA (online travel agency), their profile image are important to attract customer. These made hostel interior looks appealing on camera gaze. Many of design strategies corporate graphic visualization, unique propor- tion/composition to fit in camera angle. The technique of mural/graffiti often uses to promote photogenic image on small spaces/ alternative spaces. The feature of graphic as well as image composition has widely used to provoke customer imagination on ‘advertised’ space. The relation of spatial effect between spatial-image relation will be examined to create a new perspective of interior design. These studies choose 3 hostels located ‘ Mural Villages’ in Yogyakarta. This hostel is a form of adaptive interior from house to a hostel. In this article, the study focused on aes- thetic side of those interior adaptation, as well as the application of mural to create a photogenic space. The mural’s technique and its relation to other interior elements will be examined to seek a new perspective on spatial-image ar- ticulation on interior space.

Biomimetic Design and Fabrication of Interior Architecture of Tissue Scaffolds Using Solid Freeform Fabrication
Modeling, design and fabrication of tissue scaffolds with intricate architecture,
porosity and pore size for desired tissue properties presents a challenge in tissue engineering.
This paper will present the details of our development in designing and fabrication of the
interior architecture of scaffolds using a novel design approach. The Interior Architecture
Design (IAD) approach seeks to generate scaffold layered freeform fabrication tool path without
forming complicated 3D CAD scaffold models. This involves: applying the principle of layered
manufacturing to determine the scaffold individual layered process planes and layered contour;
defining the 2D characteristic patterns of the scaffold building blocks (unit cells) to form the
Interior Scaffold Pattern; and the generation of process tool path for freeform fabrication of
these scaffolds with the specified interior architecture. Feasibility studies applying the IAD
algorithm to example models and the generation of fabrication planning instructions will be
presented.Mechanical Engineerin
