Algunas reflexiones críticas en torno a la formación bibliotecaria y en particular el caso del bibliotecario educativo
"Some critical reflections about the library education, and in particular the case of the educational librarian." Abstract: Brief essay written as a research paper for the course of Specialization in Reading, Writing, and Education of FLACSO Argentina (Latin America Social Sciences School, Argentina Branch). This discusses a reflection around the education of librarians, in particular the librarians related to education. It also discusses the differences between their professional profile with those of the academic or university librarians. It is proposed a critique of relationship and linking of the trends in the university education with the neo-liberal ideologies in the decades of the 1980s and 1990s, that still in the 21st century they seem to perpetuate and even growing stronger, in opposition to the humanistic original education of librarians. A critique is conducted to some of the ideologies from the capitalist entrepreneurial practices that were incorporated into the library practice. The essay highlights the work of the Ministry of Education of the Argentinian Republic, through the National Institute of the Academic Education where it is promoted a re-structuring of the curricula with the introduction of areas of innovative education for librarians, and in the field of Higher Education Institutes: pedagogy, political formation, anthropology, literature, reading formation, and cultural extension
BienDeAbajo : dos experiencias en la construcción de redes de información
Presentation of two experiences of construction of information systems directed to the virtual and real public, whose objectives aim to solve a concrete demand of accessibility to instruments, documents, cultural units of information and services. The REDBIPA (Virtual networking of Argentine Popular Libraries) arises with a similar demand. Their users can be anywhere of the world. To know where to locate geographically a document, a is a vital answer for the citizens’ needs of information. Both projects – though they have different destinataries- have a common root: they are constructed from down, meeting the requirements of the users who receive response in intermediate organizations. The configuration of these systems and base networks, the strategies to implement them with limited resources and the uneasy relation with governmental civil servants and organisms that are not decided to recognize, to support and to guarantee these tasks, lead to wonder on the implementation of networks and information services, the hierarchic permeability of demands and requirements and the putting in practice of a open dialogue between users, organizations and civil servants. In Argentina, after the crisis of the 2001, the troubles were much more strong, but at the same time, the State provided the citizens who organized themselves in Assemblies, Associations, Universities, among others, Popular Libraries, ample recognition and the thin financial support allowed to develop some experiences like which we will present/display. It is within the framework of the Universities and the Civil Society, from where some networks are weaving with certain power and continuity. They are the spaces where the citizens still we found interlocutors to establish projects for the communal propert
