New beta-Pyrochlore Oxide Superconductor CsOs2O6
The discovery of a new beta-pyrochlore oxide superconductor CsOs2O6 with Tc =
3.3 K is reported. It is the third superconductor in the family of
beta-pyrochlore oxides, following KOs2O6 with Tc = 9.6 K and RbOs2O6 with Tc =
6.3 K. The Tc of this series decreases with increasing the ionic radius of
alkaline metal ions, imposing negative chemical pressure upon the Os pyrochlore

Influence of carrier lifetime on quantum criticality and superconducting Tc of (TMTSF)_2ClO_4
This work presents and analyzes electrical resistivity data on the organic
superconductor (TMTSF)ClO and their anion substituted alloys
(TMTSF)(ClO)(ReO) along the least conducting
axis. Nonmagnetic disorder introduced by finite size domains of anion ordering
on non Fermi liquid character of resistivity is investigated near the
conditions of quantum criticality. The evolution of the -linear resistivity
term with anion disorder shows a limited decrease in contrast with the complete
suppression of the critical temperature as expected for unconventional
superconductivity beyond a threshold value of . The resulting breakdown of
scaling between both quantities is compared to the theoretical predictions of a
linearized Boltzmann equation combined to the scaling theory of umklapp
scattering in the presence of disorder induced pair-breaking for the carriers.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figure
Anomalous magnetic phase in an undistorted pyrochlore oxide Cd2Os2O7 induced by geometrical frustration
We report on the muon spin rotation/relaxation study of a pyrochlore oxide,
Cd2Os2O7, which exhibits a metal-insulator (MI) transition at T_{MI}~225 K
without structural phase transition. It reveals strong spin fluctuation
(>10^8/s) below the MI transition, suggesting a predominant role of geometrical
spin frustration amongst Os^{5+} ions. Meanwhile, upon further cooling, a
static spin density wave discontinuously develops below T_{SDW}~150 K. These
observations strongly suggest the occurrence of an anomalous magnetic
transition and associated change in the local spin dynamics in undistorted
pyrochlore antiferromagnet.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
Massive Scaling Limit of beta-Deformed Matrix Model of Selberg Type
We consider a series of massive scaling limits m_1 -> infty, q -> 0, lim m_1
q = Lambda_{3} followed by m_4 -> infty, Lambda_{3} -> 0, lim m_4 Lambda_{3} =
(Lambda_2)^2 of the beta-deformed matrix model of Selberg type (N_c=2, N_f=4)
which reduce the number of flavours to N_f=3 and subsequently to N_f=2. This
keeps the other parameters of the model finite, which include n=N_L and
N=n+N_R, namely, the size of the matrix and the "filling fraction". Exploiting
the method developed before, we generate instanton expansion with finite g_s,
epsilon_{1,2} to check the Nekrasov coefficients (N_f =3,2 cases) to the lowest
order. The limiting expressions provide integral representation of irregular
conformal blocks which contains a 2d operator lim frac{1}{C(q)} : e^{(1/2)
\alpha_1 \phi(0)}: (int_0^q dz : e^{b_E phi(z)}:)^n : e^{(1/2) alpha_2 phi(q)}:

Theory of tunneling spectroscopy of normal metal/ferromagnet/spin-triplet superconductor junctions
We study the tunneling conductance of a ballistic normal metal / ferromagnet
/ spin-triplet superconductor junction using the extended
Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk formalism as a model for a -axis oriented Au /
SrRuO / SrRuO junction. We compare chiral -wave (CPW) and
helical -wave (HPW) pair potentials, combined with ferromagnet magnetization
directions parallel and perpendicular to the interface. For fixed ,
where is a direction of magnetization in the ferromagnet measured
from the -axis, the tunneling conductance of CPW and HPW clearly show
different voltage dependencies. It is found that the cases where the -vector
is perpendicular to the magnetization direction (CPW with
and HPW with ) are identical. The obtained results serve as a
guide to determine the pairing symmetry of the spin-triplet superconductor

The organic materials (TMTSF)2X are unique unconventional superconductors
with archetypal quasi-one-dimensional (Q1D) electronic structures. Here, based
on our comprehensive field-angle-resolved calorimetry of (TMTSF)2ClO4, we
succeeded in mapping the nodal gap structure for the first time in Q1D systems,
by discriminating between the Fermi wavevectors and Fermi velocities. In
addition, the thermodynamic phase diagrams of (TMTSF)2ClO4 for all principal
field directions are obtained. These findings, providing strong evidence of
nodal spin-singlet superconductivity, serves as solid bases for further
elucidation of anomalous superconducting phenomena in (TMTSF)2X.Comment: 7 pages, 7 figures, including Supplemental Information added at the

Upper critical field and de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in KOsO measured in a hybrid magnet
Magnetic torque measurements have been performed on a KOsO single
crystal in magnetic fields up to 35.3 T and at temperatures down to 0.6 K. The
upper critical field is determined to be 30 T. De Haas-van Alphen
oscillations are observed. A large mass enhancement of (1+) = = 7.6 is found. It is suggested that, for the large upper critical
field to be reconciled with Pauli paramagnetic limiting, the observed mass

NMR Observation of Rattling Phonons in the Pyrochlore Superconductor KOs2O6
We report nuclear magnetic resonance studies on the beta-pyrochlore oxide
superconductor KOs2O6. The nuclear relaxation at the K sites is entirely caused
by fluctuations of electric field gradient, which we ascribe to highly
anharmonic low frequency oscillation (rattling) of K ions. A phenomenological
analysis shows a crossover from overdamped to underdamped behavior of the
rattling phonons with decreasing temperature and its sudden sharpening below
the superconducting transition temperature Tc. Absence of the Hebel-Slichter
peak in the relaxation rate at the O sites below Tc also indicates strong
