In this work, we study the radiative open-charm decays Y(4140)β†’Dsβˆ—+Dsβˆ’Ξ³Y(4140)\to {D}_s^{\ast+} D_s^- \gamma and Y(3930)β†’Dβˆ—+Dβˆ’Ξ³Y(3930)\to{D}^{\ast+} D^-\gamma under the assignments of Dsβˆ—DΛ‰sβˆ—D_{s}^*\bar{D}_s^* and Dβˆ—DΛ‰βˆ—D^*\bar{D}^* as molecular states for Y(4140) and Y(3930) respectively. Based on our numerical result, we propose the experimental measurement of the photon spectrum of Y(4140)β†’Dsβˆ—+Dsβˆ’Ξ³,Ds+Dsβˆ—βˆ’Ξ³Y(4140)\to {D}_s^{\ast+} D_s^- \gamma, D_{s}^+D_{s}^{*-}\gamma and Y(3930)β†’Dβˆ—0DΛ‰0Ξ³,D0DΛ‰βˆ—0Ξ³,Dβˆ—+Dβˆ’Ξ³,D+Dβˆ—βˆ’Ξ³Y(3930)\to D^{*0}\bar{D}^0\gamma, D^{0}\bar{D}^{*0}\gamma, D^{*+}D^-\gamma, D^+D^{*-}\gamma can further test the molecular assignment for Y(4140) and Y(3930).Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures. Generating Hermite polynomial excited squeezed states by means of conditional measurements on a beam splitter

A scheme for conditional generating a Hermite polynomial excited squeezed vacuum states (HESVS) is proposed. Injecting a two-mode squeezed vacuum state (TMSVS) into a beam splitter (BS) and counting the photons in one of the output channels, the conditional state in the other output channel is just a HESVS. To exhibit a number of nonclassical effects and non-Guassianity, we mainly investigate the photon number distribution, sub-Poissonian distribution, quadrature component distribution, and quasi-probability distribution of the HPESVS. We find that its nonclassicality closely relates to the control parameter of the BS, the squeezed parameter of the TMSVS, and the photon number of conditional measurement. These further demonstrate that performing the conditional measurement on a BS is an effective approach to generate non-Guassian state.Comment: 8 pages, 8 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:quant-ph/9703039 by other author

Statistical Thermodynamics of General Minimal Diffusion Processes: Constuction, Invariant Density, Reversibility and Entropy Production

The solution to nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation is constructed in terms of the minimal Markov semigroup generated by the equation. The semigroup is obtained by a purely functional analytical method via Hille-Yosida theorem. The existence of the positive invariant measure with density is established and a weak form of Foguel alternative proven. We show the equivalence among self-adjoint of the elliptic operator, time-reversibility, and zero entropy production rate of the stationary diffusion process. A thermodynamic theory for diffusion processes emerges.Comment: 23 page

Passive scheme with a photon-number-resolving detector for monitoring the untrusted source in a plug-and-play quantum-key-distribution system

A passive scheme with a beam splitter and a photon-number-resolving (PNR) detector is proposed to verify the photon statistics of an untrusted source in a plug-and-play quantum-key-distribution system by applying a three-intensity decoy-state protocol. The practical issues due to statistical fluctuation and detection noise are analyzed. The simulation results show that the scheme can work efficiently when the total number of optical pulses sent from Alice to Bob is above 10^8, and the dark count rate of the PNR detector is below 0.5 counts/pulse, which is realizable with current techniques. Furthermore, we propose a practical realization of the PNR detector with a variable optical attenuator combined with a threshold detector.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure
