Leistung und CSB-Bemessung der vorgeschalteten Denitrifikation unter erhoehter Sauerstofflimitierung fuer Tropfkoerper-Anlagen

Biofilm systems are considered to be less efficient in nutrient elimination than sludge activation processes and have therefore been left out of account in sewage plant engineering in the last few decades. The author investigated a combined process comprising an anaerobic activation stage and a biofilm system. This is to provide an economically efficient solution for purification of waste water according to modern standards. Reactions were monitored for the purpose of developing a dimensioning method. Results are presented for CSB elimination, nitrogen conversion, biomass production and phosphorus elimination.
