Aim. Determination of the level of zinc and its fractions, as well as the enzyme neutrophilic elastase and albumin in persons suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as smoking actively and passively. Materials and methods. The study involved 30 patients with a diagnosis of COPD and 90 healthy persons (60 of them smoking at the present time, 30 - no) who underwent spirometry and determination of zinc levels and its pools, albumin, and neutrophil elastase. All data are subject to statistical processing. Results. It is determined that the studied parameters differ significantly in the groups of smokers with COPD, healthy smokers and non-smokers, and correlate with the volume of forced exhalation for 1 second as a percentage of the due. Conclusion. The revealed regularities make it possible to consider the indicator "share of bound zinc fraction" introduced in the study as a screening criterion in diagnosing COPD in smokers

The goal is to evaluate the influence of meloxicam on the level of blood pressure among patients suffering from hypertension, as well as among patients without diseases of the cardiovascular system, in relation to its pro-hypertensive effect.Materials and methods. The retrospective research involved 60 patients who regularly taked meloxicam in a dose of 7.5 mg / day. There were patients who didn’t have a cardiovascular pathology in the first group. The second group consisted of patients with hypertension, taking antihypertensive drugs. Retrospectively, the level of blood pressure, measured by the Korotkov’s method, was analyzed by medical histories, before and after 3 months of taking meloxicam in both groups. The total cardiovascular risk was calculated on a SCORE scale.Results. It was determinated that long-term medication of meloxicam led to an increase of blood pressure indicators, both in patients without established diseases of the cardiovascular system, and in patients with the hypertension and an average total cardiovascular risk, who are regularly taking antihypertensive pills to achieve target blood pressure

EARLY DETECTION OF CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE — VECTOR ON BIOMARKERS

Chronic obstructive lung disease is a significant medical, social and economic problem because of its high prevalence. This disease can be prevented, that’s why its early detection is very actual. The article presents an overview of recent data on screening methods and biomarkers that reflect the course of the disease. The article shows the importance of finding new methods of screening in smokers and in people, who are exposed to secondhand smoke

Purpose. To define features of comorbid pathology at patients with a 2 types diabetes, to estimate a possibility of use of indexes of a comorbid pathology in the management of these patients. Materials and methods. Patients with a 2 types diabetes participated in a research. The retrospective analysis of medical records with calculation of indexes of a comorbid pathology for the systems CIRS, Kaplan-Feinstein, Charlson was made. Taking into account the received indexes at patients prognostic indicators of percentage risk of lethality within the next year and 10-year survival were defined. Correlation interrelations between laboratory indicators of components of a metabolic syndrome and values of indexes of a a comorbid pathology are defined. Results. It was defined that in structure of comorbid pathology at the chosen patients diseases of cardiovascular, nervous and genitourinary systems prevail. Besides the specified systems, at women specific gravity of pathology of endocrine system is big. With age the tendency to prevalence of comorbid pathology of the specified systems remains and also the augmentation of average score of indexes of a comorbid pathology on all systems, deterioration in prognostic indicators is taped. Statistically significant direct link between indexes of a comorbid pathology and separate components of a metabolic syndrome, an experience of a disease of patients is also taped

Objective. To estimate a possibility of use of zinc and its fractions as the indicator reflecting a condition of antioxidant system at sick HOBL and persons from risk groups. Materials and methods. Patients with COPD, smokers and non-smoking healthy people have participated in a research. Everything participated in a research has carried out spirometry with definition of an indicator of FEV1 and the subsequent calculation of FEV1 % of due. Taking into account importance of the occupied role when forming COPD of an oxidative stress have been determined the level of activity of the main enzyme of antitoskidantny protection — superoxide dismutases; level of zinc and its fractions as main component of enzyme and also albumine as main tranporter of metabolic active zinc. The indicator “a share of the related fraction of zinc” for definition of changes in fractions of zinc is entered. Results of the study. It is defined that at the smoking patients with the minimum malfunction of external breath of change of indicators are similar to that at patients with COPD. Statistically significant differences in the level of the studied indicators at non-smoking patients are also revealed. With use of the correlation analysis of Spirmen reliable high correlation communications between FEV1 % from due and activity level superoxide dismutases and also between activity level superoxide dismutases and the general level of zinc and also zinc connected are defined that confirms a hypothesis of a possibility of use of level of zinc and its fractions as the indicator reflecting a condition of antioxidant system at the smoking persons at screening researches

DECOMPOSITION OF BIODEGRADABLE FILMS DEVELOPED ON THE BASIS OF POLYVINIL ALCOHOL IN THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT UDC 678.744.7

Abstract. The use of polymeric pack has made for many important problems. Biodegradable plastics may provide solutions to global environmental problems. The aim of this study is to examine the utilization possibilities in natural environment of biodegradable films, which was developed with polyvinyl alcohol and organic filler materials (amylum and cellulose). The films stability against the filamentous fungus was analyzed, the soil type with optimal conditions to the biodegradation of polymers was determined; the mold fungi were separated from biodegradable films and were identified to a genus. Key words: polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), organic filler materials, biodegradable films (BF), sodium-carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC), amylu
