Vernal Fire Management Plan Environmental Assessment

    Get PDF
This Environmental Assessment (EA) documents results of an analysis of proposed changes to the current management of wildland fire and hazardous fuels for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office. Proposed revisions of the Vernal Fire Management Plan (FMP) serve as the Proposed Action for this EA. The revised FMP incorporates current planning requirements associated with fire management on public lands, including wildland fire suppression and fuel treatments. The EA analysis is designed to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). It allows determinations to be made as to whether any significant impacts, as defined by the President’s Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) in Regulation 40 CFR 1508.27, could result from the analyzed actions

BTA Oil Producers Bravo Field Development, Green River Resource Area, Environmental Assessment

    Get PDF
This Environmental Assessment (EA) was prepared to evaluate and disclose potential environmental impacts associated with the Bravo field development proposed by BTA Oil Producers and its partners (BTA) in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. BTA has tested and confirmed the existence of substantial quantities of natural gas on Federal oil and gas leases within its Bravo Unit and on adjacent lands (hereafter referred to as the development area ). BTA would like to proceed with development of its existing oil and gas leases and other developments necessary to serve future oil and gas production. BTA would be assisted in this effort by contractors and its partners. For purposes of this EA, reference to BTA as the project proponent includes all partners, contractors and subcontractors that may be involved in the design, development and implementation of the proposed development

This Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared to document the results of an analysis of proposed changes to the current management of wildland fire and hazardous fuels for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Salt Lake Field Office. Proposed revisions of the Salt Lake Fire Management Plan (FMP) serve as the Proposed Action Alternative for this EA. The revised FMP incorporates current planning requirements associated with fire management on public lands, including wildland fire suppression and fuel treatments. The EA analysis is designed to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). It allows determinations to be made as to whether any “significant impacts,” as defined by the President’s Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) in Regulation 40 CFR 1508.27, could result from the analyzed actions

Bruneau-Kuna Grazing Environmental Impact Statement Final

    Get PDF
The Bruneau-Kuna Grazing Environmental Impact Statement analyzes the effects of livestock grazing on 2,379,014 acres of public land in southwest Idaho. Four grazing management alternatives to the Proposed Action are presented and analyzed in terms of their projected economic, social and environmental effects. Each alternative analyzes a different level of allocating the vegetative resource among competing users. This document will be used to determine the proper level of forage allocation to livestock and wildlife use on the public lands, using the multiple use sustained-yield concept. The rangeland management program selected for the subject public land will be based upon the analysis presented in this document

Southern Utah Support Area Fire Management Plan Environmental Assessment

    Get PDF
This Environmental Assessment (EA) documents results of an analysis of proposed changes to the current management of wildland fire and hazardous fuels for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Southern Utah Support Area (SUSA) planning area. Proposed revisions of the SUSA Fire Management Plan (FMP) serve as the Proposed Action for this EA. The revised FMP incorporates current planning requirements associated with fire management on public lands, including wildland fire suppression and fuel treatments. The EA analysis is designed to ensure compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). It allows determinations to be made as to whether any “significant” impacts, as defined by the President’s Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) in Regulation 40 CFR 1508.27, could result from the analyzed actions

The Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements (DEIS and FEIS) assess the environmental consequences of a proposed coal lease sale and subsequent mine development and operation in the Carbon Basin, 11 miles southeast of Hanna, Wyoming. This abbreviated FEIS revises and supplements the DEIS for the Carbon Basin Coal project (DES-98-32) and addresses comments and concerns expressed during the public comment period for the DEIS. The DEIS was made available to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the public on August 7, 1998, and a Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register on the same date.
