Children's Social Problem Solving Ability and Friend-and Self-Concept
The present study examined the effect of social problem solving ability on children's concept of friends and self. The first grade children were administered open-ended interviews, a forced-choice task. As the results shows that high ability group of social problem solving task had higher description level of self-other cognition. The findings are disscussed in terms of methodological problems of verbal reports on self and friends of children
The Construction of a Japanese Version of Children's Future Time Orientation Scale
The future time orientation (FTO) developed by Gjesme(1979) was translated into Japanese and modified to suit the local situation. The adapted 15 item scale was tried out with 143 fifth grade children in an elementary school in Okinawa, Japan. From the results of factor analysis, FTO test revealed 5 factors, Involvement, Anticipation, Occupation, Speed, and Present. In general, correlations between FTO sub-scales and achievement tests were low. Multiple regression analysis showed that the efficiency of FTO sub-scales was also poor

本研究の目的は、女子大学生を対象に、ジェンダーの受容と結婚観・家族観の実態を明らかにする
ことであった。分析の視点としては学歴(短大、4年制大学)と地域差(岡山県、沖縄県)を検討
した。結果は、地域差はあるものの、学歴差が大きいことがあきらかになった
