OUTPUTS FROM LLP-IRMA PROJECT
The international project Inter-countries Research for Manufacturing Advancement (IRMA) is focused on the realization of a Research/Comparative Analysis in the 27 European Union’s Member States, aimed at the promotion of excellence and efficiency of instruction in institutions of higher education. The IRMA project researches the Manufacturing Engineering field, taking into consideration its high level of innovation and rapidly changing requirements that students must possess, in order to adapt to and be competitive in the labour market
Kinematic model construction of lower limb based on linkage model
The human skeleton from mechanical point of view is a multi degree of freedom system supportingstructure. Depending upon the fact whether the muscle groups are tightened, the supportingstructure can be either determinate structure or statically indeterminate structure. Thetightened muscles turn into the part of the supporting structure, the slack muscles make it possiblethat the structure operates as a mechanism. In this paper the simplified kinematics modelof the lower limb and its analysis are presented. DOI: 10.17489/biohun/2009/2/0

An easy to use device for lubricity examination
The stability of surgical metals implanted into patients is affected by human extracellular fluidthat can enter between different components of the implant system. However data are missingon the lubricity properties of different human fluids/tissues. In our article we would like to presentan easy and inexpensive device to perform and standardize implant lubricity measurements. DOI: 10.17489/biohun/2009/2/0
