We have been implementing the research work in order to achieve the rural clinics that can provide the similar quality of clinic performance as that of urban general hospitals. The research work involves the use of common fund in community, from the financial viewpoint, for the purpose of continuous management of clinics in rural villages of developing countries, and the introduction of telemedicine system from the viewpoint of medical quality improvement. Our research fields have been rural villages near Hanoi, Vietnam1). This report is a result of another research work concerning the telemedicine for the clinics of rural villages, covering from the introduction of the vertical integration-type medicine management pursuing the possibility of quality improvement measures in the healthcare at the Vietnamese rural villages through the field research at the Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam as well as the hub of the IT technology

Abstract Immersive projection displays such as CABIN and COSMOS have Introduction Recently, multi-screen immersive projection displays such as CAVE have become very popular as virtual reality display systems[1] As a national project aimed at sharing a high presence virtual world using these networked immersive projection displays, the multimedia virtual laboratory (MVL) project has been promoted by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in Japan. The multimedia virtual laboratory is a concept of linked network environments in which remote users can mutually communicate through the network as if they are in the same place. In order to realize the concept of the multimedia virtual laboratory, the construction of a high presence communication technology in the shared virtual world has been a key issue. The computer graphics avatar is often used as a communication method in the networked virtual world In the video conference system or associated communication systems such as ClearBoard Therefore, in this study, a stereo video avatar was developed. This technology realizes high presence communication within the networked immersive projection display by transmitting three-dimensional information about the user, such as position and gestures, by using a live video. This paper describes the video avatar technology developed in this study, and the communication capabilities of this method

Abstract Though the concept of concurrent design has spread and various design tools have been used, the design environment that supports the designers' collaborative work has not been discussed enough. In this study, CDF (Concurrent Design Facility) was developed as a collaborative design environment in which designers, researchers and managers can discuss with each other while sharing the necessary data. The feature of CDF is that the users can share the intuitive, accurate and high presence information by using the super high definition stereo image projected by 4K projectors. In this study, as the mechanisms of sharing images between the center screen and each user's terminal, command capture method and screen capture method were introduced, and the effectiveness of these methods for the collaborative work was evaluated

Digital Guide Map Using Tiled Display and Recommendation Function

Abstract-In this study, digital guide map that uses the tiled display wall was constructed. In the digital guide map used in the shopping mall or shopping street, it is necessary to present the suitable information to the users who visit there without definite purposes. This study aims at constructing the effective digital guide map by combining the functions of presenting the high resolution large image and the effective recommendation. Especially, the recommendation algorithm that recommends the suitable items to the unidentified user in the public space based on the probability density distribution that is constructed from on the fragmentary usage history data was developed. And it was applied to the restaurant guide map to evaluate the effectiveness of this method
