Data Mining Generating Decision Trees to Alert System Against Death and Losses in Egg Production
Climatic changes and high temperatures have been affecting animal production and the well-being of laying birds, with heat stress and high mortality rates, generating economic losses. Legacy databases can contain information to help model thermal comfort at climatic extremes. They can enable decision trees to be created through the use of data mining to prevent mortality and production losses. Thus, the objective of this study is to seek to develop decision trees, for application as an alert system, for the incidence of caloric stress in the production of layers. We used a database of three aviaries located in the city of Bastos-SP, collected in 2013. The data were organized in Excel® spreadsheets, and processed with the Weka® software with the J48 (C4.5) algorithm for mining of the data. The technique allowed the construction of decision trees that in the chosen sheds were classified with respectively 99.73%, 99.61%, and 98.71% of correct answers and with Kappa indexes equal to 0.9958, 0.9907 and 0.9663, which indicate that the three classifiers built are excellent. Thus, the proposed system, with the decision trees built, can serve as a basis for the construction of an alert system to be applied to the three warehouses simultaneously
Mono- and dicationic DABCO/Quinuclidine composed nanomaterials for the loading of steroidal drug: 32 factorial design and physicochemical characterization
Oil-in-water nanoemulsions (NEs) are considered a suitable nanotechnological approach to improve the eye-related bioavailability of lipophilic drugs. The potential of cationic NEs is prominent due to the electrostatic interaction that occurs between the positively charged droplets with the negatively charged mucins present in the tear film. This interaction offers prolonged NEs residence at the ocular surface, increasing the drug absorption. Triamcinolone acetonide (TA) is one of the first pharmacologic strategies applied as an intravitreal injection in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Newly synthesized quaternary derivatives of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) and quinuclidine surfactants have been screened with the purpose to select the best compound to formulate long-term stable NEs that combine the best physicochemical properties for the loading of TA intended for ocular administration. This work was funded by the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCTES), European Social Fund (FSE) of EU, for the scholar ship SFRH/BD/130555/2017 granted to A. DABCO-customized nanoemulsions: characterization, cell viability and genotoxicity in retinal pigmented epithelium and microglia cells
Quaternary derivatives of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) and of quinuclidine surfactants were used to develop oil-in-water nanoemulsions with the purpose of selecting the best long-term stable nanoemulsion for the ocular administration of triamcinolone acetonide (TA). The combination of the best physicochemical properties (i.e., mean droplet size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, osmolality, viscoelastic properties, surface tension) was considered, together with the cell viability assays in ARPE-19 and HMC3 cell lines. Surfactants with cationic properties have been used to tailor the nanoemulsions surface for site-specific delivery of drugs to the ocular structure for the delivery of TA. They are tailored for the eye because they have cationic properties that interact with the anionic surface of the eye.Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) from

Judicialização da saúde na Amazônia Ocidental: decisões coletivas do tribunal de justiça do Estado do Acre, Brasil
Introduction: the judicialization of health is an alternative to the health services in Brazil, despite criticism of judicial decisions and control of public health policy. The large number of actions that demand health services is a health problem that characterizes the political, social, ethical, legal, and health systems of the Public Health Policy.
Objective: to analyze the judicialization of health care in the Acre State, Brazil, from 2010 to 2016.
Methods: it is a documentary and cross-sectional study of collegiate decisions, with final judgments, in the period from 2010 to 2016, issued by the Court of Justice of the State of Acre,
Results: all proposed actions were Writ of Mandamus. The use of preliminary injunction was the most common strategy (n = 34; 94.44%). One third of the respondents were not questioned by the State of Acre (n = 9; 25%) as decisions of the Court of Justice on health concern medicines, examinations, and procedures, in these cases, it only manages interests, with no litigation per se. (n = 25, 69.44%). Men and women demanded in the same proportion, all of them characterized by living in poverty (n = 28; 77.78%).
Conclusion: the collective health decisions handed down by the State Court of Justice Acre, Brazil, guarantee access to health goods and services to the claimants, with emphasis on preliminary injunctions and grounds based on the principle of human dignity, physical integrity and life, and on medical prescriptions in each specific case and, in a third of the cases, serving as a mere administration of interests.
