Stories of love had the preference of Euripides during a certain time in his production. Several title, preserved or lost, testify this trace in the production of this tragic poet. This article aims at putting in parallel two of the lost plays, Stheneboia and Hippolytus Veiled. A comparative study permits to prove that not only subject, but also the dramatic strategy correspond in some of their main aspects.Fil: Silva, María de Fátima
Padre e Hijo: Una pareja cómica tradicional. Daitales de Aristófanes
During the first years of his carreer, Aristophanes insists on a traditional subject, ‘the old man and his companion’ – son or slave – introducing in the detail of each reformulation a different structure. Education, a fashionable issue at the moment, is relevant in this reformulation. Making the comparison of several creations – mainly Daitales, Clouds and Wasps – may be a good way to evaluate the technique of this successful poet.
A God looking for identity : Dionysius in Frogs
In the Frogs, Aristophanes gives to the god of theater the initiative of a trip, during which Dionysus faces a permanent problem of identity: who is this Dionysus looking for the power that a poet's resurrection represents? The question about Dionysus' identity doesn't find an answer within the play; it also puts under discussion the ambiguity of the god and his cult. The ritual allows changes on normal life: sexual order and social hierarchy may be subverted as part of a festival, where subversion and questioning are a priority

Since 2016, L’Oréal Peru, in alliance with Pachacutec Foundation, has carried out the ‘Beauty for a better life’ program which is developed through an annual training in five areas of specialization. Providing quality training and offering new perspectives for women in social and economic instability, in the Ventanilla district. By this scenario, the purpose of research was to evaluate the program, based on two aspects: Employment Promotion and the impact within the participants for the 2016 to 2018 program, in terms of loyalty. For that reason, we aimed to analyzed the case study
from the perspective of “the Theory of Shared Value” and by the application of surveys to 72 Program’s beneficiaries, in which was found that the levels of employability and loyalty are high; generating by thus a social and business benefitDesde el 2016, L’Oréal Perú en alianza con la Fundación Pachacútec, realiza el Programa ‘Belleza Por Un Futuro’.
Mining Novel Constitutive Promoter Elements in Soil Metagenomic Libraries in Escherichia coli
Although functional metagenomics has been widely employed for the discovery of genes relevant to biotechnology and biomedicine, its potential for assessing the diversity of transcriptional regulatory elements of microbial communities has remained poorly explored. Here, we experimentally mined novel constitutive promoter sequences in metagenomic libraries by combining a bi-directional reporter vector, high-throughput fluorescence assays and predictive computational methods. Through the expression profiling of fluorescent clones from two independent soil sample libraries, we have analyzed the regulatory dynamics of 260 clones with candidate promoters as a set of active metagenomic promoters in the host Escherichia coli. Through an in-depth analysis of selected clones, we were able to further explore the architecture of metagenomic fragments and to report the presence of multiple promoters per fragment with a dominant promoter driving the expression profile. These approaches resulted in the identification of 33 novel active promoters from metagenomic DNA originated from very diverse phylogenetic groups. The in silico and in vivo analysis of these individual promoters allowed the generation of a constitutive promoter consensus for exogenous sequences recognizable by E. coli in metagenomic studies. The results presented here demonstrates the potential of functional metagenomics for exploring environmental bacterial communities as a source of novel regulatory genetic parts to expand the toolbox for microbial engineering
HPLC with Fluorescence Detection for Determination of Bisphenol A in Canned Vegetables: Optimization, Validation and Application to Samples from Portuguese and Spanish Markets
Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the chemicals used to produce both polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resin coatings. Research has shown that small amounts of BPA can migrate into the foods and beverages enclosed in these types of containers. In this research, an analytical method based on high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) was developed and validated for the determination of BPA in canned vegetables. The results were confirmed by liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) was performed, to identify the coating material of each tin can. Nineteen cans of vegetables were taken as study samples (eleven samples from the Spanish market, and eight samples from the Portuguese market). Excellent linear correlation (r2 = 0.9999) was observed over the range of 0.01 to 0.25 mg/L. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values were calculated to be 0.005 mg/kg and 0.01 mg/kg, respectively. Good recoveries, between 72% and 90% were obtained at three different levels of concentration (RSD% = 4.6). BPA was not detected in the samples. The proposed HPLC-FLD was found to be suitable for the determination of BPA in canned vegetablesMF Vaz acknowledges FCT, through IDMEC, under LAETA, project UID/EMS/50022/2019.
