Technological distractions V Motivational factors
This study aims to investigate demands for motivational factor in a classroom environment which has been polluted by increasing distraction caused by the recent technological developments. It is evidently proved that motivations of students are quite important to enhance their learning in the classroom. Some of these factors relates to theextrinsic and intrinsic motivations. The extrinsic motivational factors are treated more inthis study. However, the recent technological developments and their new learning environment have also influence on learning of students. According to a survey more than nine out often British students are distracted by Face book, Twitter and other social networking sitesat least once an hour. As part of motivational factors, rewards are more productive andefficient then punishments in classroom environment. For the good and betterment of teachers and students, educational institutions should start to put into practice "laptopban" and "smart phone ban" or permits. In this paper comparative studies are considered to dig out findings related totechnological distractions V motivational factors. This paper analyzes the distractions caused by the recent technological developmentin the classroom environment. The finding of this paper indicates that banning is not agood option for motivation of the students. It suggests that there should be a balancebetween banning and freeing the usages of the recent developed technologies. In short, it is regarded to conduct a controlling mechanism which can help student show to handle and balance technology use in educational institutions. If students aim forhigh paying jobs, during the lesson they need to switch off their laptop and smart phonesfor better future
Kipling’s Ecclectic Religious Identity
Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865Â -1936) is one of the most popular writers in English, in both prose and verse, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Rudyard Kipling does not subscribe to any particular religion, but he is deeply a religious man because he believes in one absolute God, and the divine purpose behind the creation of man. Although Rudyard Kipling uses a lot of Christian symbols in his works, he is not a Christian. In some of his stories, he shows a unique insight into the redeeming power of love, which is the main pillar of Sufism. He also accepts some of the Islamic precepts however he is not a Muslim. He is very sympathetic to Buddhism and Hinduism and always alludes to Hindu gods and goddesses, but he does not believe in Hinduism or Buddhism. Rudyard Kipling uses a lot of religious themes, motives and symbols in his Works but he does not subscribe to any particular religious views at all
The Effect of corporate reputation management as a competition tool on tourism businesses
Abstract The enterprises should be created differences such as; to be able to sustain their entity in the face of competitor, to have position in the sector, to present value in the products and services that have been offered for ensuring profit and to be reliability and honesty. The corporate reputation has been considered as a competition tool that can be revealed these differences. This study aims to put forth the effects of corporate reputation management in the hotel businesses. Managers\u27 idea, working in the hotel businesses in Turkey, about reputation management has been determined and asked them to make suggestions. In this research has been found suggestions in relation to using statue of reputation as a difference maker and competition tool, in the enterprises which own it. In addition corporate reputation, as a concrete element, regarding to determining of business’ situation in the market has been evaluated. In this study had been tried to reach to all hotel managers from middle and upper level in Turkey. It has been asked from managers to fill the questionnaire had been sent to their e-mail addresses which gained from different sources. Online questionnaire had been carried out in this paper. Corporate reputation was revealed as efficient value in the matter of; becoming as a more important phenomenon for enterprises, ensuring customer loyalty, increasing prolificacy and having qualified personnel. Enterprises which have corporate reputation will be one step ahead in the relation to the competitor. It is concerned different values for reputation formation. Especially in the tourism sector service quality is among the most effective values. The importance of human labor on ensuring customer satisfaction in this sector is an undeniable fact. Gaining and retaining of qualified personnel by the business will have been providing through a strong corporate reputation
Microfluidic Investigation of Tracer Dye Diffusion in Alumina Nanofluids
Nanofluids, a new class of fluids engineered by suspending nanometer-sized particles in a host liquid, are offered as a new strategy in order to improve heat and mass transfer efficiency. My research was motivated by previous exciting studies on enhanced mass diffusion and the possibility of tailoring mass transport by direct manipulation of molecular diffusion. Therefore, a microfluidic approach capable of directly probing tracer diffusion between nanoparticle-laden fluid streams was developed. Under conditions matching previously reported studies, strong complexation interactions between the dye and nanoparticles at the interface between fluid streams was observed. When the tracer dye and surfactant were carefully chosen to minimize the collective effects of the interactions, no significant change in tracer dye diffusivity was observed in the presence of nanoparticles.
Next, adapting tracer dyes for studies involving colloidal nanomaterials was explored. Addition of these charged tracers poses a myriad of challenges because of their propensity to disrupt the delicate balance among physicochemical interactions governing suspension stability. Here it was shown how important it is to select the compatible combinations of dye, nanoparticle, and stabilizing surfactant to overcome these limitations in low volume fraction (< 1 vol%) aqueous suspensions of Al2O3 nanoparticles. A microfluidic system was applied as a stability probe that unexpectedly revealed how rapid aggregation could be readily triggered in the presence of local chemical gradients. Suspension stability was also assessed in conjunction with coordinated measurements of zeta potential, steady shear viscosity and bulk thermal conductivity.
These studies also guided our efforts to prepare new refrigerant formulations containing dispersed nanomaterials, including graphene nanosheets, carbon nanotubes and metal oxide and nitride. The influence of key parameters such as particle type, size and volume fraction on the suspension's thermal conductivity was investigated using a standard protocol. Our findings showed that thermal conductivity values of carbon nanotube and graphene nanosheet suspensions were higher than TiO2 nanoparticles, despite some nanoparticles with large particle sizes provided noticeable thermal conductivity enhancements. Significantly, the graphene containing suspensions uniquely matched the thermal conductivity enhancements attained in nanotube suspensions without accompanying viscosity, thus making them an attractive new coolant for demanding applications such as electronics and reactor cooling
Which urine marker test provides more diagnostic value in conjunction with standard cytology- ImmunoCyt/uCyt+ or Cytokeratin 20 expression

Abstract

Background

Because of the poor sensitivity of urinary cytological findings for the diagnosis of especially low grade urinary bladder carcinoma, new molecular diagnostic methods have been proposed. We decided to verify the ImmunoCyt/uCyt+ (UCyt+™) test and cytology combination and cytokeratin 20 (CK20) and cytology combination in urine as possible diagnostic and monitoring tool for bladder cancer.

Methods

Evaluation of CK20 expression and UCyt+™ was performed in urine of 90 patients of which 54 with bladder cancer with primary/recurrent diagnosis (low grade urothelial carcinoma (LGUC) = 23/8 patients, high grade urothelial carcinoma (HGUC) = 18/5 patients), and 36 patients as control; except of neoplastic bladder disease patients. For the evaluation of the three tests, CK20 and UCyt+™ tests were combined with urine cytology and compared with each other.

Results

The overall sensitivity detected for each tumor marker was as follows: for urine cytology was 75.9% and UCyt+™ was 83.3%, for CK20 70.4%, while the specificity was 66.7% for urine cytology and 86.1% for UCyt+™ and 83.3% for CK20. The sensitivity of cytology and UCyt+™ combination was higher (88.9%) than the sensitivity cytology and CK20 combination (77.8%). The simultaneous use of the three markers, sensitivity was reaching 92.5%.

Conclusion

The UCyt+™ test and CK20 expression are valid tools for the performance of adjunctive analyses with conventional cytologic examination.</p
The Real Crisis Waiting for the World: Oil Problem and Energy Security
It can be said that the global crisis in the world in 2008 deeply affected all states and changed almost all balances. Such crises experienced in the world during this period and possible same crises in the future are important. However, such crises have monetary solutions although they have resulted in serious destruction of economic and social structures of the countries. Nevertheless, if the necessary measures are not taken, a more serious crisis will arise in a future not too far from now. The difference of this crisis that will arise compared to the former ones is that there won’t be a monetary solution for it. Continuous growth in the increase of energy consumption in the world is an inevitable problem. This situation makes many countries around the world face the problem of energy independence and energy security. In this study, the classification and characteristics of energy sources will be discussed first. Then, energy independence and security problem created by termination of energy sources and their being under control of specific countries will be examined by comparative analysis method based on statistical data.

Productivity as a determinant of labour wage in New Zealand’s construction sector
The empirical relationships between labour wages, unemployment rate and the labour productivity index in New Zealand’s construction sector (for the period of 1983–2017) were investigated. The Johansen cointegration test and vector error correction mechanism were used to determine the existence of long-run relationships between the variables and the adjustment process of the short-run disequilibrium into the long-run equilibrium. The results show that the labour productivity index positively affects the labour wage, while the effect of unemployment rate is negative in the long run. That is, the more productive the labour, the more the wages earned. Related statistical tests on the residuals proved that the model and its findings are reliable
