G protein mutants produce conidial anastomosis tubes (CATs).
<p>Conidia were used to inoculate 100 mm 10 ml solid VM agarose plates as described in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0048026#pone-0048026-g002" target="_blank">Fig. 2</a>. Plates were incubated at 30°C for 5–16 h depending on the germination rate of the mutant strain. Images were captured and analyzed and strains are the same as in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0048026#pone-0048026-g002" target="_blank">Fig. 2</a>.
