Firmum Picenum e il suo territorio. Dinamiche insediative ed attività economiche
This paper is based on the results of the Pisa South Picenum Survey project, an interdisciplinary and integrated study of urban and landscape planning of the Southern Piceno. In particular, we will refer to Firmum, a Latin colony of 264 BC, and its territory, which is believed to extend fromn the river Ete Morto to the river Aso. As a part of a diachronic approach (from prehistory to the Middle Ages), as proposed by the organizers of this meeting, the attention will be focused on the period between the second century BC and the second century AD, the phase of the greatest expansion of the Roman economy.
