    Abstract-This study is based on bulk cargo handling by a freight forwarding company. Due to heavy globalization, the number of companies operating overseas is continuously extending their organizations offering the capability to deal with the complexities inherent in international trade. Since bulk cargo handling plays a wise role in the logistics industry are considered as main logistic mediator in trade, selecting a freight forwarder is a significant element in a company's success overseas. As major challenges are faced while handling bulk cargoes which has to be tackled as early as possible for future development. The study attempts to analyse the issues in handling bulk cargoes and techniques used for handling bulk cargoes which would help to resolve issues and contributes for major improvement for loading and unloading. There are different storage methods and the different types of bulk cargoes are stored differently and different handling equipments are used. The study is based on both primary and secondary data.     Abstract: Purpose: Steel is one of the core infrastructure product, whose per capita consumption indicates the Industrial development of a nation. The average per capita consumption of steel in India is at a level of 30% of the the world per capita consumption. This article attempts to examine the relationship between different dimensions of purchase decision taken by customers of steel in Tamil Nadu. This study also aims to investigate the effect of the location of the customers and their education qualification while making the Purchase decision. Design/methodology/approach: Based on literature review the impact of location and qualification of the customers on the purchase decision of steel is examined and conceptual model is developed to analyze the relationship between study variables. Simple Purposive random sampling was followed for collecting data from steel customers of Tamil Nadu Practical Implication: This research would be useful to the organization that marketing steel to understand what are the key areas to be concentrated for impacting the Purchase decision of the customer of steel in Tamil Nadu. This will help in formulating the market strategy of the customers of steel.Findings: Customers irrespective of their area of living, either urban or semi-urban, they are price conscious and expect availability of products at one source. People with higher educational qualifications have more perceptions about the factors involved in making the purchase decision.     An Open Source Assistant for Human Emotion Analytics and Control for Incidental Investigations

    This article shows a new approach for developing a system which assists to analyze the human emotions based on the history and practice on emotional attitudes, moods and type. The history of human behaviors and practice recorded from the incidental investigations and which is represented open source as JSON text data files in various nodes is searched using an elastic search algorithm with parameters defined by a rule based engine for human emotion recognition. The system gives assistance or suggestions for investigation, based on statistical and predictive metrics generated from the search results. The paper also elucidates the various possible applications where the system can be implemented

    The study of thyroid dysfunction in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding

    Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is the most common gynecological condition observed during many women's reproductive period. AUB affects the quality of life, causing distress. Most of the cases are undiagnosed or not properly diagnosed. Multiple reasons are causing AUB, one of them is thyroid dysfunction. Nowadays, thyroid testing is readily available, which helps in diagnosis and better management of AUB. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted with 124 AUB cases using simple random sampling after approval from the ethics committee. Results: Total thyroid dysfunction was noted in 32.26% of cases, and 70.16% were multiparous. About 34.1% of cases of menorrhagia and 54.2% of cases of oligomenorrhea had thyroid abnormalities. Conclusions: For appropriate management of AUB, testing of thyroid levels is necessary

    Knowledge attitude and practice on prevention of hepatitis B infection among medical students of a tertiary care centre in Tamil Nadu, India

    Background: Hepatitis B infection is a serious global public health problem. About two billion people are infected with hepatitis B Virus (HBV) all over the world. The prevalence of HBV infection in India is 4%(2%-8%) with more prevalence among health care workers. Medical students represent a group that is at high-risk for acquiring and spreading hepatitis B infection. Despite increasing prevalence of HBV infection, there is paucity of knowledge, attitude and practice on HBV among medical students. Objective of the study was to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices on prevention of hepatitis B infection among medical students of Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kulasekharam.Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted among 205 MBBS students using a pretested self-administered questionnaire for assessing the knowledge, attitude, and practice on prevention of HBV infection after obtaining informed consent from the participants.Results: Among 205 MBBS students, correct response towards Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices were given by 77.07%, 77.56%, and 76.59% respectively, 79.5% of the students were fully vaccinated; 20.5% were partially vaccinated against Hepatitis B Virus infection.Conclusions: The medical students are at a very high risk of contracting HBV infection during their training period in view of low HBV vaccine uptake rate and high chance of accidental exposure to blood infected with HBV. Creating awareness among medical students on various aspects of Hepatitis B infection through health education programs before their exposure in medical colleges and subjecting them to active immunization against HBV are mandatory to control the spread of Hepatitis B viral infection
