Walter Anderson Hardin Papers - Accession 1019
The Walter Anderson Hardin papers consists of photocopies of newspaper clippings and articles, correspondence, and photographs mostly related to the Rock Hill Buggy Company, the Anderson Motor Company and Anderson cars, Rock Hill Body Company, and to family members related to Walter Anderson Hardin. Also included are genealogical material including lineage charts related mostly to the Anderson, McCaw, Hardin, Johnson, Belk, and Gill Families. The collection includes many articles that are biographical in nature for John Gary Anderson (1861-1937),Walter B. Roberts (1893-1993), Walter Anderson Hardin (1955-), James Carlisle Hardin, III, and Harry L. Hoy. Rock Hill Body Company Collection - Accession 1390
The Rock Hill Body Company Collection consists entirely of digital scans of material pertaining to the Rock Hill Body Company which was located in Rock Hill, SC and was one of the earliest makers of truck and school bodies in South Carolina. The collection includes newspaper articles, correspondence, brochures, advertisement posters and flyers, photographs, and sales guides mostly related to the Rock Hill Body Company, however there are several items related to the Anderson Motor Company including engine diagrams, newspaper articles, and photographs. There are also several records related to the Hardin family which owned and operated the Rock Hill Body Company including correspondence, programs, commencement invitations, newspaper articles, and photographs. J.C. Hardin and Company Photographs - Accession 1071 - M485 (536)
The J.C. Hardin and Company Photographs consists of copies of six photographs of the J.C. Hardin & Company buildings and properties in Rock Hill, South Carolina, company workers, John Gary Anderson (father-in-law of JC Hardin), and Anderson Motor Company cars. Also included is a detailed descriptions of four of the photographs with background and histories of the company.
