The Scattering amplitude for Rationally extended shape invariant Eckart potentials
We consider the rationally extended exactly solvable Eckart potentials which
exhibit extended shape invariance property. These potentials are isospectral to
the conventional Eckart potential. The scattering amplitude for these
rationally ex- tended potentials is calculated analytically for the generalized
mth (m = 1, 2, 3, ...) case by considering the asymptotic behavior of the
scattering state wave functions which are written in terms of some new
polynomials related to the Jacobi polyno- mials. As expected, in the m = 0
limit, this scattering amplitude goes over to the scattering amplitude for the
conventional Eckart potential.Comment: 8 pages. Latex, No fi
Study of Nutritive value and Preliminary Phytochemical Screening of the leaf extract of Ficus nervosa Heyne ex Roth, a lesser known medicinal plant
The present study was undertaken to evaluate the nutritive value and phytochemical constituents in the leaf extract of Ficus nervosa Heyne ex Roth which is traditionally used as medicinal plant. A preliminary phytochemical analysis was carried out and concluded the presence of various phytochemicals. Biochemical estimation of total carbohydrate, protein, free amino acid, lipid, ascorbic acid, vitamin E, crude fibre, alkaloids, flavonoids and phenols were performed by standard procedures. The nutritive value (K cal/100 gm) was found to be 90.6 K cal/100g. Phytochemical studies indicated that the leaf contain a broad spectrum of secondary metabolites and presence of these medicinally important bioactive compounds justifies their use in the traditional medicines for the treatment of different disease
One continuous parameter family of Dirac Lorentz scalar potentials associated with exceptional orthogonal polynomials
We extend our recent works [ Int. J. Mod. Phys. A 38 (2023) 2350069-1] and
obtain one parameter family of rationally extended Dirac Lorentz
scalar potentials with their explicit solutions in terms of exceptional
orthogonal polynomials. We further show that as the parameter or , we get the corresponding rationally extended Pursey and
the rationally extended Abraham-Moses type of scalar potentials respectively,
which have one bound state less than the starting scalar potentials.Comment: LaTeX, 19 pages, 09 figures, 03 table
A study on the quality of life among stroke survivors: A cross sectional study
Background: The World Health Organization defines - Health as a “state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
Methodology: A cross sectional study on 96 patients with stroke aged more than 30 years was carried out NIMS Hospital, Jaipur for a period of 4 months from 1st January 2018 to 30th April 2018.
Results: Out of 96 patients, Mean quality of score of patients with stroke was 65.04±9.982 there was significant difference seen in quality of life score according to sex, side of lesion, duration of stroke, socioeconomic status, occupation and hypertension.
Conclusions: It can be said that quality of life is a multidimensional concept. As stroke cases is among the most devastating of health aspect, having multiple and profound effects upon all aspects of life, hence evaluation of quality of life is very important. Each and every effort should be made to improve these aspects and in turn to activity daily living (ADL) and improve the overall quality of stroke patients
