Analyse de la place de l environnement dans les représentations des médecins généralistes face aux patients allergiques

L objet du travail qui suit a eu pour objectif d explorer les représentations des médecins généralistes sur la place de l environnement dans la maladie allergique afin de comprendre leur investissement ou leur manque d intérêt pour cette problématique.Plusieurs études ont montré l impact très significatif de l'environnement sur la santé ainsi que l influence des polluants intérieurs et extérieurs sur le développement et l entretien des allergies dont la prévalence a doublé en 20 ans.Le Médecin généraliste joue un rôle de prévention capital et se trouve en première ligne alors qu il n a que peu été formé sur ce thème. Nous avons recueilli leurs représentations via des entretiens collectif de type Focus Group, puis nous avons utilisé la méthode d analyse de contenu thématique.Il est apparu que les médecins généralistes ont une vision large de l environnement qui comprendrait : Le terrain, les allergènes, les polluants et le climat. C est cet environnement global qui déterminerait ou non, selon eux, l expression de la maladie allergique.L étude des représentations a montré que le lien entre l environnement et l allergie était très fort mais il est resté difficile à formuler et à expliciter rationnellement. Autant l environnement pouvait paraître très agressif autant ils ont été une majorité à choisir l adaptabilité comme moyen de lutte contre l allergie. L avenir de la maladie allergique serait étroitement relié à l avenir de l environnement dans sa globalité. Several studies showed the very significant impact of the environment on health as well as the influence of the pollutants interior and external on the development and maintenance of the allergies whose prevalence doubled in 20 years. The General practitioner plays a capital part of prevention and is in first line whereas it only little was formed on this topic. We collected their representations via collective talks of the type Focus Group; then we used the method of contents analysis. It appeared that the general practitioners have a broad vision of the environment which would include: The ground, allergens, pollutants and climate. It is this total environment which would or not determine, according to them, the expression of the allergic disease. The study of the representations showed that the bond between the environment and the allergy was very strong but there remained difficult to formulate and to clarify rationally. As much the environment could appear very aggressive as much they were a majority to choose the adaptability like means of fight against the allergy. The future of the allergic disease would be narrowly connected to the future of environment.
