Investigation of changes in conductivity of juice during the evaporation process
The creation of this article was the necessity of experimental determination of the electric conductivity of juice depending on the concentration of solids, expressed by the empirical formula, in order to more precisely control specific power supplied to the machine and foaming. Authors of the article held staged experimental studies using apple juice, the juice of red mountain ash, buckthorn and black currant. Found that the relationship between the conductivity of the juice solids content corresponds to the empirical formula of Kohlrausch, however, this formula does not represent the contribution juice acidity value of conductivity, and allows to correlate the specific power input to the device with the concentration of solids. The empirical formulas for the distribution of electrical juice conductivity depending on the acidity and for calculation of the specific power depending on the concentration of dry matter, allows to keep the speed of the foam below its destruction speed in the zone of vigorous reflux
Thermophysical properties of granules of instant drinks in the process of structuring
In this article the research of the thermophysical properties of the material depending on its moisture content been represented. The interrelation of various physical properties with the content of moisture in the mass were detected. In addition, their dependence on the quantitative ratio and the properties of structural carcass and pore spaces were proved. The need to consider the volume phase composition of the mixture was justified. A formula to calculate the thermal conductivity coefficient of the product molded from disperse materials was obtained on the basis of Lykov criterion defining the property of drying material and volume phase concentrations. It is proved that the use of volume phase characteristics of disperse systems opens new possibilities for improving the methodologies for determining the those thermophysical properties of dry and wet dispersion materials, allows increasing the reliability results of these definitions, revealing the mechanism of anomalous heat conductivity of wet material

Innovative solutions in the energy sector
Combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) allow for significant savings in primary energy resources and a reduction in environmental pollution. Mostly it is carried out using steam turbines. However, in the eighties of the twentieth century, a new promising direction in the development of cogeneration appeared. These are plants operating on the organic Rankine cycle (ORC). An analysis of energy innovations abroad is required for the development and adaptation of this direction to Russian realities. Therefore, an analysis of the energy and environmental efficiency of high-moisture biofuels and biofuel mixtures with high ash content was carried out in boilers operating as part of a CHP using ORC technology and traditional steam turbine plants. Some recommendations for the innovative development of small and medium-scale power generation were proposed
Theoretical principles of petroleum hydrogeology of the West Siberian megabasin (WSMB)
Comprehensive study of the chemical and gas composition, temperatures, levels, pressure of deep underground water in deep wells is associated with the beginning of the systematic development of the oil and gas potential in Western Siberia and the first discovery of large deposits here. The development of new branches of hydrogeology is due to the fact of more and more available data. Thus, fundamental understandings of the WSMB hydrogeological conditions are being translated into new theories. Geodynamically, the WSMB structure was revised and based on hydrogeological data, regional and local prediction of oil and gas occurrence exploration criteria were developed. Based on the dispersion halo water-dissolved substance theory, exploration methodology of "neglected" deposits were formulated, conceptual issues of technogenic changes of oil and gas hydrogeosphere areas were being developed
Influence of natural convection on gold nanorods-assisted photothermal treatment of bladder cancer in mice
Background: The thermally-induced urine flow can generate cooling that may alter the treatment outcome during hyperthermic treatments of bladder cancer. This paper investigates the effects of natural convection inside the bladder and at skin surface during gold nanorods (GNR) - assisted photothermal therapy (PTT) of bladder cancer in mice. Methods: 3D models of mouse bladder at orientations corresponding to the mouse positioned on its back, its side and its abdomen were examined. Numerical simulations were carried out for GNR volume fractions of 0.001, 0.005 and 0.01% and laser power of 0.2 and 0.3 W. Results: The obtained results showed that cooling due to natural convection inside the bladder and above the skin depends on the mouse orientation. For a mouse positioned on its back, on its side or on its abdomen, the maximum temperature achieved inside the tumour at 0.001% GNR volume fraction and 0.2 W laser power was 55.2Β°C, 50.0Β°C and 52.2Β°C, respectively compared to 56.8Β°C when natural convection was not considered. The average thermal gradients when natural convection was considered were also lower, suggesting a more homogenous temperature distribution. Conclusions: Natural convection inside the bladder can be beneficial but also detrimental to GNR-assisted PTT depending on the level of heating. At low levels of heating due to low GNR volume fraction and/or laser power, flow inside the bladder may dissipate heat from the targeted tissue; making the treatment ineffective. At high levels of heating due to high GNR volume fraction and/or laser power, cooling may prevent excessive thermal damage to surrounding tissues
Assessment of fresh groundwater vulnerability to contamination caused by production operations in oil and gas fields of Nizhnevartovsk Region (Western Siberia)
Groundwater quality is possible to provide under the condition of aquifers effective protection from surface contamination and bottom pollution prevention in the areas of intense oil-gas production operations. Qualitative and quantitative assessment of groundwater vulnerability is based on regional characteristics of lithological composition and thickness of impermeable deposits in unsaturated zone and overlying deposits. The correlation of head and water table levels, absorption capacity of soils and clay rocks are also considered. An integrated approach to natural vulnerability analysis of groundwater has been presented. It suggests a combination of three most common methods. Based on performed calculations, the map has been made to plot fresh groundwater vulnerability of Atlym-Novomikhailovsk aquifer system (Nizhnevaryovsk Region, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomus Okrug)
Ecologization of water-land property matters on the territory of the Tom lower course
In the present paper the water-land property complex is considered as a strategic resource of the city development. The formulated question is expounded through the example of water-land property complex usage on the territory of the Tom lower course for land-use planning and developing the systems of water recourses management and land tenure. Consequences of liquid radioactive waste (LRW) landfilling are investigated in terms of arable farming. Also, forming a water budget of the soils spread on the area of the Tomsk underground water supply cone of depression and its role in the development of agricultural industry are studied. The main aspect of the analysis is the incorporation of social, economic, and ecological requirements for the system of life-supporting branches of municipal economy and social services. As far as the system of land tax payments plays an important role in land property complex management, the common issues and tendencies are specified in the paper. These problems are concerned with the inadequate incorporation of an ecological constituent in the methods of cadastral valuation of lands, as well as the situation of the narrow area of its results usage in the Russian Federation. Natural factors (hydrological, territorial, geological (geomorphologic) territory conditions) are combined by the authors into a special group. These factors should be reflected in the results of cadastral valuation. Also, in order to protect the interests of water consumers, it is offered to establish the Water Consumers Association based on the international experience of such countries as Spain and Uzbekistan
