GRAN EMPRESA, SUBDESARROLLO Y DETERIORO AMBIENTAL
En oposici贸n a la distorsionada e interesada pr茅dica neoliberal, el sistema econ贸mico vigente, de acuerdo a los planteamientos b谩sicos de la Teor铆a Econ贸mica, est谩 motorizado por el mercado de competencia imperfecta, signado en la fase superior del capitalismo, por la presencia monopolice (polipolios, oligopolios. monopsonios, etc.) de grandes empresas transnacionales, generalmente sociedades an贸nimas, que son organizaciones accionarias, de capital, que actuando en funci贸n del principio de racionalidad de la econom铆a (irracionalidad seg煤n Maurice Godellier), s贸lo buscan maximizar sus beneficios, su tasa de expoliaci贸n y plusval铆a, 煤nicagarant铆a de incremento de su tasa de acumulaci贸n; para lo cual, es condici贸n sine-quanon, minimizar sus costos de producci贸n: objetivos que s贸lo pueden obtenerlos explotando el capital humano (factor trabajo) y depredando el factor naturaleza, principalmente de los pa铆ses subdesarrollados.

, and the three Special Reports. The summary for Policymakers (SPM) is structured in three parts: SPM.A Current Status and Trends, SPM.B Future Climate Change, Risks, and
Long-Term Responses, and SPM.C Responses in the Near Term.This report recognizes the interdependence of climate, ecosystems and biodiversity, and human societies; the value of diverse forms of knowledge; and the close linkages between climate change adaptation, mitigation, ecosystem health, human well-being
and sustainable development, and reflects the increasing diversity of actors involved in climate action.
Based on scientific understanding, key findings can be formulated as statements of fact or associated with an assessed level of
confidence using the IPCC calibrated language
Cambio clim谩tico : globalizaci贸n y subdesarrollo
El debate sobre cambio clim谩tico y sus implicaciones socioecon贸micas han pasado a un primer plano con las nuevas evidencias aportadas por diversas investigaciones cient铆ficas internacionales y la intensidad del proceso de negociaciones multilaterales acerca del tema.
Esto ha coincidido con el afianzamiento del neoliberalismo en la econom铆a mundial, lo que se deja sentir con m谩s fuerza en: el comercio y las finanzas internacionales, la cooperaci贸n internacional, el sector energ茅tico, la esfera de la ciencia y la tecnolog铆a, la cultura, las relaciones pol铆ticas, la sociedad y el medio ambiente. Los pa铆ses subdesarrollados -en particular los peque帽os estados insulares y regiones pobres afectadas por la desertificaci贸n, la inseguridad alimenticia y el d茅ficit de agua dulce- se encuentran expuestos a severas tensiones econ贸micas, sociales y ambientales. Este libro pretende retomar los aspectos esenciales del debate m谩s reciente relacionados con este asunto y examinar lo antes expuesto a la luz de las actuales tendencias globalizadoras en la econom铆a mundial y la vulnerabilidad de los pa铆ses subdesarrollados en este contexto
