Supported by information systems, the regional or world economy transformed itself in a global economy. Taking fast and optimal decisions is needed for each step an individual or an organization makes in order to support competitiveness in the context of radical evolution of the world economy. Decision support systems (DSS) are spatially based computer applications and data which assists managers in making decisions. Since Geographical Informational Systems technology has a great deal to offer to the mortgage finance industry the goal of this paper is to analyze the main theoretical and practical approaches regarding the role of the geographic location and spatial relationships over the outcomes of the banking, housing and mortgage market.Investment, Banking, GIS Modeling, Decision Making System, Spatial Analysis

LEADERSHIP AND THE TEAM, VITAL ELEMENTS OF MANAGEMENT IN THE BANKING SYSTEM
The banking industry is a relevant example of dramatical changes in the last 2 years and we can tell that the leaders who administrated the situation has made a good job. Ben Bernanke-US Federal Rezerve Chairman, Lloyd Blankfein-Goldman Sachs Chairman are two of the leaders responsible with regaining the trust in the banking system. Do we have this kind of leaders? Mugur Isarescu, the governor of NBR, acted so that to maintain the same rate of exchange RON per EUR since 2004, not registering any bank failure, creating a national reserve equivalent with all public debt of Romania. To reveal this potential at the level of the Romanian Banking System, this study include a survey made on 4 banks (BCR, Alpha Bank, Piraeus Bank, Credit Europe Bank) meaning more than 30% market share as assets and 10% as number of banks, with a sample of 9 employees per bank.leadership, team, banking, financial and economical crisis

To do this, we have to measure what is most importantly to measure. Starting from these considerations, the present paper approaches from a theoretical and practical point of view the economic rate of return as the indicator which synthesizes best an organization’s financial-economic performance. We have calculated and analyzed the economic rate of return for a group of Ten Romanian Firms in the food industry, through different calculation relations, pointing out the advantages/disadvantages of each calculation method.economic rate of return, measurement of financial-economic performance
