Influence of the bentonite-containing acrylic humectant composite on the soil microflora
ArticleAcrylic derivative-based superabsorbents are widely used currently in agriculture as
the soil conditioners, plant growth regulators, etc. Their usage has a positive effect on the growth
and survival of the plants cultivated in the arid regions. However, the effects of hydrophilic
acrylic polymers on the soil microbiocenosis still remain unknown. The influence of the moistureabsorbing acrylic acid-based hydrogels with different proportions of bentonite filler was studied
on the soil microbiota. N,N-methylenebisacrylamide was used as a crosslinking agent. Acrylic
hydrogels were synthesized by radical polymerization in an aqueous medium at a synthesis
temperature of 45 Β°C during 4 hours. The application of hydrogel of the certain concentrations
(1.0, 1.5, and 2.5% wt) into the soil did not cause significant changes in the total abundance of
heterotrophic bacteria and the length of the fungal mycelium. The CO2 emission rates did not
change after and during the application of the hydrogel), which indicated the same level of carbon
mineralization in the soil with presence of acrylic bentonite-containing hydrogels. The nitrogen
fixation rate decreased on the first day after hydrogel application; after 14 days, it was close to
the control values. We assume the activity of nitrogen-fixing bacteria has though turned to the
normal level
Sorption Properties of Clay and Pectin-Containing Hydrogels
As is known, polymeric polyelectrolyte hydrogels are superabsorbents that are capable of absorbing moisture in amounts many times greater than their own mass. Numerous studies have shown that besides water absorption and retention, they can also be effectively used as sorbents to purify water from heavy metals. In many works, attempts are made to improve the sorption properties of polyelectrolyte hydrogels by creating polymer composites based on them. Organic/inorganic composite materials frequently exhibited desired hybrid performance superior to their individual components and cost-efficient characteristics. The composites derived from natural polysaccharides and inorganic clay minerals are of special interest by virtue of their unique commercial and environmental advantages, which means that the design and development of environmentally friendly superabsorbents, introducing natural ingredients, have long been necessary. In this paper, we consider polymer hydrogels based on a copolymer of acrylic acid and acrylamide filled with pectin and bentonite. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of chemical conditions on hydrogels and their composites, kinetic, and absorption behavior toward metal ions in the presence of the chelating agent. In this chapter, an investigation of the kinetic patterns of swelling, deswelling, and sorption of the hydrogels and their composites will be presented
Dielectric characterization of the BiFe0.5Cr0.5O3 ceramics
Dielectric properties of the BiFe0.5Cr0.5O3 ceramics synthesized under high pressure were investigated in
a broad frequency range (20 Hz β 1 GHz) between 200 and 500 K. It was revealed that the ceramics exhibit
electrical conductivity above 300 K. Below 300 K, a dielectric dispersion caused by ferroelectric domains
was observed. It was found that the conductivity follows the AlmondβWest law, which allowed us to determine a DC contribution (ΟDC). From the ΟDC values obtained at different temperatures, the activation energy
(EA = 0.302 Β± 0.006 eV) was calculated using the Arrhenius law.publishe
Ergonyms of latin origin
The article considers ergonyms of Latin origin, which are used as the names of existing organizations, companies and projects of Russian cities. Latin, unlike Russian and English, is not familiar to everyone. Because of this, companies with an βunusualβ and βunfamiliarβ name are of great interest. We have found more than 1500 names. Among which are the names of law firms, beauty salons, industrial enterprises, trade organizations. The analysis revealed that most of the names are used for medical centers, clinics and laboratories. Some names are repeated a lot in different regions.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ ΡΠ°ΡΡΠΌΠΎΡΡΠ΅Π½Ρ ΡΡΠ³ΠΎΠ½ΠΈΠΌΡ Π»Π°ΡΠΈΠ½ΡΠΊΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΠΏΡΠΎΠΈΡΡ

"Course of clinic of internal diseases and clinical lectures" by S.P. Botkin
The article describes Latin inclusions of medical content used by S.P. Botkin in his scientific work "Course of clinic of internal diseases and clinical lectures." Latin inclusions are individual words and phrases included in the Russian text without changes. As a result of the study, we identified the reasons that prompted the use of Latin terms and phrases. The author uses them as a translation; for a detailed description of the phenomena that he compares with each other; for explanations; in order to avoid repetition of the Russian term in the sentence. In addition, the article analyzes numerous Latinisms.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ ΠΎΠΏΠΈΡΡΠ²Π°ΡΡΡΡ Π»Π°ΡΠΈΠ½ΡΠΊΠΈΠ΅ Π²ΠΊΡΠ°ΠΏΠ»Π΅Π½ΠΈΡ ΠΌΠ΅Π΄ΠΈΡΠΈΠ½ΡΠΊΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΡΠΎΠ΄Π΅ΡΠΆΠ°Π½ΠΈΡ, ΠΈΡΠΏΠΎΠ»ΡΠ·ΡΠ΅ΠΌΡΠ΅ Π‘.Π. Ethymological origin of neurological terminology
The article considers the semantic origin of some Latin terms used in neurology. The etymology of Latin terms is investigated. As a result of the study of the terminological dictionary, 136 words were identified that describe the symptoms and names of neurological diseases. Most of the words were terms of Greek-Latin origin, only a few words fell into the terminology of modern languages - English and French. In addition, eponyms are found in the dictionary.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ ΡΠ°ΡΡΠΌΠΎΡΡΠ΅Π½ΠΎ ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ°Π½ΡΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΎΠ΅ ΠΏΡΠΎΠΈΡΡ

Greek neoclasisism in anatomical terminology
The article describes Greek neoclassicisms β neologisms composed of Greek morphemes that are used in modern anatomical terminology. Recently, their number has been increasing markedly. This also applies to nouns and to adjectives derived from them. Greek roots, prefixes, suffixes, and even inflections are used as Greek morphemes. Less commonly, the Latin root, overgrown with Greek morphemes, is used as the main unit. Artificially created terms based on Greek word-formation elements become more preferable as more terminologically significant, accurate and unambiguous.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ ΠΎΠΏΠΈΡΡΠ²Π°ΡΡΡΡ Π³ΡΠ΅ΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΠ΅ Π½Π΅ΠΎΠΊΠ»Π°ΡΡΠΈΡΠΈΠ·ΠΌΡ β Π½Π΅ΠΎΠ»ΠΎΠ³ΠΈΠ·ΠΌΡ, ΡΠΎΡΡΠ°Π²Π»Π΅Π½Π½ΡΠ΅ ΠΈΠ· Π³ΡΠ΅ΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΡ

Magnetic Diagram of the High-Pressure Stabilized Multiferroic Perovskites of the BiFe1-yScyO3 Series
Magnetic properties of the high-pressure stabilized perovskite BiFe1-yScyO3 phases (0.1 β€ y β€ 0.9) have been studied by means of magnetization measurements and neutron diffraction. The metastable perovskites of this series undergo irreversible polymorphic transformations upon annealing, the phenomenon referred to as conversion polymorphism. It has been found that the solid solutions with y β₯ 0.70 exhibit no long-range magnetic ordering regardless of their polymorph modification, while those with y β€ 0.60 are all antiferromagnets. Depending on the scandium content, temperature and structural distortions, three types of the antiferromagnetic orderings, involving collinear, canted and cycloidal spin arrangements, have been revealed in the phases obtained via conversion polymorphism and the corresponding magnetic phase diagram has been suggested
