Price determination and price strategy in the marketing view
Taking into account the four marketing politics, the price may seem to hold a special place both in theory and practice. This assertion is sustained by the fact that some specialists consider prices a variable unable to be controlled by a company, while others are adepts of another theory according to which there is a real possibility of using the price in the company’s best interest, whether on short but most of all on long periods of time. Like in many other circumstances, taking also into consideration what has already been proved in the field, the truth may lie somewhere in between, meaning the price cannot be controlled by a company like other market poles, as product policies of distribution and promotion, but at the same time it cannot be considered an external variable, impossible to be used in marketing terms.price, consumers, demand, price sensitivity measurement.
TENDENCIES OF INTERNATIONALIZATION IN RETAILING
Manufacturing companies took advantage of internationalization as early as in the seventies and eighties of the last century, whereas retail companies have used these chances not before the last few years in order to improve access to resources, to increase sales and to extend activities to external markets. Once a retail company has decided to penetrate a foreign market they must be aware of the unfamiliar working of external environment that they cannot control. Even the world's leading retailers make mistakes when approaching markets they do not understand properly.retailing; internationalization; elements of external environment; behavioural polyvalence; consumers' orientation
Aircraft Gas-Turbine Engine with Coolant Injection for Effective Thrust Augmentation as Controlled Object
This chapter deals with some intensive methods regarding aircraft gas-turbine-engine performance enhancement, which are suitable alternatives for the most common temporarily thrust increasing method—the afterburning. Coolant injection method, into the compressor or into the combustor, realizes the desired thrust increase for a short period, when the flight conditions or other aircraft necessities require this. Both methods were studied from aircraft engine’s point of view, considering it as controlled object. New engine’s mathematical model was built up, following the thermo- and gas-dynamics changes and some quality studies were performed, based on engine’s time behavior simulations; some control options and schemes were also studied. Quantitative studies were based on the model of an existing turbo-engine; mathematical model’s coefficients are both experimentally determined (in the Aerospace Engineering Division labs) as well as estimated based on graphic-analytic methods. This approach and the presented methods could be applied to any other turbo-jet engine and used even in the stage of pre-design of a new engine, to estimate its stability and quality
Sfântul Prooroc Ilie "“ în scenariul eshatologic biblic doctrinar și în scenariul eshatologic popular românesc
The Holy Prophet Elijah occupies a place of honour in the religious thinking and living of Romanian orthodox believers in general, and of the Romanian peasant in particular. In the Romanian folk tradition, he is known as the patron of weather, of crops and beekeepers, being celebrated every year on July 20, in the middle of summer. In addition to the fact that the Holy Prophet Elijah is a model for true faith in troubled times and is considered a veteran testamentary precursor of Christian monasticism, he fulfils in the biblical scripture of the New Testament an important eschatological role. Thus, we can see him present, along with Moses, at the Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tabor, an event related in all three synoptic gospels, but above all we find him (unnamed) in the book of Revelation, in chapter 11, where, together with the Enoch (also unnamed), they will face the Antichrist, being killed by it, and then raised by God and ascended to heaven. The Holy Prophet Elijah will be the Forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ, as this truth is repeated in his akathist hymn. The Romanian popular eschatology, taking over the scriptural motif from the book of Revelation, chapter 11, enriched it over time with a series of fabulous details regarding the eschatological role of the Prophet Elijah, details which, although nowhere in the pages of the Holy Scriptures, are not found. it contradicts this, even though their sources of inspiration constituted, to a large extent, a series of apocryphal writings of apocalyptic character, which circulated in the Romanian space during the Middle Ages. We will thus see that, at least from an eschatological point of view, in the religious mentality of the Romanian peasants, the Holy Prophet Elijah also combines in a harmonious, but fantastic way, the concept of Christian doctrinal religion and that of popular Christian religion
De la sclav la vizir: ascensiunea lui Iosif în Egipt
The present study aims to shed more light on an Old Testament biblical moment that we do not consider sufficiently intensely treated in local biblical theological disciplines: the rise of Patriarch Joseph in Egypt, from slave status to vizier status, or, in other words, to the second position in the Egyptian empire, after that of Pharaoh. In our research we used interreligious sources, in addition to the specifically Christian ones (Holy Scripture and patristic writings) using the Muslim Qur’anic account of Joseph’s life in Egypt, but also the Jewish historian Josephus Flavius. It will thus be noted that the biography of Joseph in Egypt, at least until the time he becomes vizier, is approached differently in the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim writings mentioned above, between which there are obviously both similarities, as well as differences, both aspects that are incompatible and aspects that can be harmonized in an exemplary manner in order to fill some gaps regarding the rise of Joseph in the empire of the pharaohs. At the same time, in conducting this research, we used strictly profane sources related to ancient Egypt, sources that, through their level of objectivity, gave us very useful and very interesting details, details that clarify many aspects of the scriptural report from the Book of Genesis on how Patriarch Joseph ascended to Egypt from a simple slave to the second man in the empire. We sought in the research to be as objective as possible in terms of extrascriptural sources, so we can bring some clarifications of a religious, historical, political, social and moral nature that we consider necessary in achieving an exegesis or a strictly historical approach to this scriptural episode from the Old Testament
Horses’ Senses Involvement in Food Location and Selection
Senses are an important part of the interaction with the environment. Previous studies has been established that horses use smell and taste in the selection of their food. The involvement of sight in the selection process has not been clarified up to this study. Here, we investigate the involvement of senses in the selection process of food, also the proportion in which, each senses are involved and we evaluate the horses preferences for different colors. Two experiments have been designed and carried out with two racing horses The results obtained have demonstrated that the sight is the main sense in the location of the food, followed by the sense of olfactory organ involved in selecting plants ingested and the sense of taste which contributes less to the selection. There has also been identified a preference of the envolved horses for the pink color used in this experiment
