An Overview Study on Awareness of Global Warming Among the Graduate Teacher Trainees

    Get PDF
Nowadays global warming is considered as a burning problem and it is being a challenge to the entire world and its scientific society. Global warming is a worldwide environmental problem by which there is an abnormal increase to the level of temperature, particularly in a natural environment. Global warming is not only affecting the nature, but it affects the life and homes of millions of people. The changes of global warming is visible from the highest mountains to deep in the oceans and it extinguished different parts of the earth and it's also creates rich bio-diversity. To identify the level of awareness global warming and to enhance the same among future secondary school teachers, the Authors decided to conduct the present research study of awareness on global warming among graduate Teacher trainees of college of education. Further, the study may also help the student teachers of secondary schools to create awareness on global warming among students studying in secondary schools in future. There is an increasing demand for the medicinal plants in developing countries like India. Attention need to be given to assess the medicinal value of such plants to explore the potential drugs out of it. Inflammation is the condition associated with many of the disease states and this review elaborate the medicinal plants, their parts used in the effective management of Inflammation and its associated conditions. Effect of Information Processing Approach in Enhancing Achievement in Chemistry at Higher Secondary level

Teaching is considered both an art and a science.  Successful and effective teaching requires two basic things.  The teacher should be competent to teach the subject allotted to him/her at the same time he/she should follow new techniques of teaching to make the learning fruitful and interesting. The traditional methods of technology have failed to generate the required behavioural outcomes, abilities and skills needed to facilitate the learning of curricular subjects. Knowledge of the recent development will help the teacher in making his/her teaching more effective and increase his/her efficiency for class room functioning.  Such a background will solve classroom problems, enable him/her to organize teaching activities and select instructional design and teaching models and innovative techniques appropriate for his/her classroom situation.  All innovative strategies and techniques, it should give enough scope for developing learning environment among students. Processing information is the main concern of any teacher.  If the information is processed effectively, learning techniques should be right and they should meet the individual needs of all learners and so the teachers should adopt a model of teaching which would be flexible and interactive.  The information processing approach technique in teaching chemistry was effective in Higher Secondary School classes. Implementation of this approach provided a great opportunity, to students to take an active part in the process of learning.  Through the information processing approach the achievement of student was enhanced to a great extent. Keywords: Information, Processing, Model, Chemistry

    Isotropy of unitary involutions

We prove the so-called Unitary Isotropy Theorem, a result on isotropy of a unitary involution. The analogous previously known results on isotropy of orthogonal and symplectic involutions as well as on hyperbolicity of orthogonal, symplectic, and unitary involutions are formal consequences of this theorem. A component of the proof is a detailed study of the quasi-split unitary grassmannians.Comment: final version, to appear in Acta Mat

Design of Sequencing Medium Access Control to Improve the Performance of Wireless Networks

    Get PDF
This paper presents a technique known as sequencing on MAC layer for wireless networks. MAC layer issues are very important while acceding channel over wireless networks. Normally, communication uses RTS/CTS mechanism to access channel for transmission of data. Mostly, it is observed that RTS/CTS handshake may introduce some delay especially in case of wireless networks. Hence, a sequencing method is proposed where selected RTS packets are dropped voluntarily to improve overall throughput of the network although individual performance of the transmissions is reduce

Here, we investigated to what extent modulation of neuronal firing in cerebellar nuclei (CN), which are anatomically in an advantageous position to disrupt cortical oscillations through their innervation of a wide variety of thalamic nuclei, is effective in controlling absence seizuresPeer reviewedFinal Published versio

Genetic parameters, diversity and character association studies in germplasm lines of castor (Ricinus communis L.)

    Get PDF
Castor is an important non-edible oilseed crop having huge industrial and export potential. It is used as an efficient lubricant for high-speed engines and as an ingredient in several commodities. There is a critical need to identify or to improve the germplasm lines with desirable characters. In the present study, 82 germplasm lines were evaluated in augmented design to estimate the genetic parameters viz., PCV, GCV, heritability and genetic advance as per cent of mean, principal component analysis and correlation studies. Results showed that the difference between PCV and GCV was low indicating less impact of environment on trait expression. Heritability (broad sense) and genetic advance as per cent of mean values were high for all the traits thus role of additive gene action is found important in governing the traits. Cluster analysis studies revealed that all the genotypes were grouped into eight clusters and cluster VIII documented the highest mean values for hundred seed weight and plant yield. The entries PRC-2 and PCS-337 recorded higher hundred seed weights of 56.5 and 48.6 g, respectively and in turn higher yield. These lines can be utilized as parents in the hybrid development programme for yield improvement. Correlation studies revealed that plant yield showed a significant positive association with all the characters except for days to 50% flowering. Thus selection for these traits viz., primary spike length, effective primary spike length, the number of effective spikes per plant, the number of capsules per spike and hundred seed weight will be advantageous in attaining higher yields
