Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, May, 2016Modern web technologies have already become an indispensable part of our everyday life, shaping a new, overlaid tech-social reality. This however generates numerous cyber opportunities & threats, produced as a result of the evolving human-machine and machine-to-machine interactions. The paper outlines a comprehensive, practical solution for meeting these problems from the cybersecurity perspective. A fourfold methodological approach to digital reality cyber threat landscape understanding is presented through: (i) Cyber Threat Landscape Definition, (ii) System Modelling & Analysis, (iii) Hybrid Simulation, (iv) Results Validation & Verification within multiple successful case studies.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski

Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, May, 2019The upcoming digital Society 5.0 is expected to give a more creative role to the new digitally (i-) transformed people that is naturally requiring and a suitable way for their successful training. The main idea is to implement an extended reality in the new educational process, combining: mixed, virtual and augmented realities, within a holistic integration model and advanced human-machine smart interaction. The paper outlines a transcending system-ofsystems analytical foreseeing for the future digital transformation transcends, related to both technologies and humans, accentuating on the training process for successful establishment of new, diverse cognitive i-skills and i-behaviour. Further, user-feedback, extended reality experimental validation is performed. Finally, a wrap-up discussion on the future training transcends for the upcoming transformed digital society is provided.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski

Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2017Todays’ digital world is inevitably changing our style and ecosystem of living, transforming human factor understandings, feelings and behaviour. These findings however are difficult to be identified for both tangible and intangible challenges that needs a suitable analytical approach. The paper outlines a practical framework for modern ICT technologies and services study implementation for better understanding of digital future objectives in nowadays Fourth Digital Revolution era. A suitable analytical framework is presented for both static and dynamic risks & challenges landscape system coping. Results trends are further validated, using both expert beliefs and probabilistic machine simulation. Finally, a practical verification is outlined via interactive gaming exercise.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski

EEG Fractal Dimension Measurement before and after Human Auditory Stimulation

The aim of this work is to investigate the change of fractal dimension Df with the help of Higuchi Fractal Dimension measure (HFD) in Event-Related Potentials (ERP) of human EEG time series, obtained as a result of oddball paradigm usage and auditory stimulation with instruction for passive listening and counting tasks, depending on gender, personality type and task condition. In our study 77 healthy volunteers have been participated and 38 of them have been selected after a personality classification with Eysenck’s personality questionnaire (EPQ).The achieved results showed specific functional meaning of ERP HFD change depending on the individual personality type and gender

A Conceptual Generalized Nets Immunological Model for Agent based Exploration of Unknown Environment

    No full text
Exploration of unknown environment in general is a very broad area, which in the current paper is addressed more to the agent based idea and robotics. As far as the agent and its further development - multiagent modus resembles real social systems the interaction between agents could benefit from the natural mechanisms like immune system. The paper presents a conceptual model for exploration of unknown environment, which extends the immune networks' idea with some self-immunization by means of dynamic anti-body generation with application both in mobile and i-mobile robotics (Smart Homes) modeling and control, maintaining practical benefits like energy saving. The model is described in terms of the Generalized Nets Theory, thus providing a convenient and natural environment for agent-based modeling

ABSTRACT: The influence of multimedia on modern digital users is constantly growing. The paper describes an experimental study of audio-visual (AV) entrainment towards dynamical changes of selected human biometrics. Special wearable equipment of AV stimulation and polyphysiographic postural and brain activities recordings were accomplished for entrainment effect exploration. The obtained results demonstrated evident quantitative changes in both center-ofpressure sway and EEG of the studied subjects after the entrainment session, outlined with time-frequency spectral and multifractal measures. Practical implementation of the study results is directly applicable to the rehabilitation goals and nowadays digital world people stress relaxation, together with working capacity enlargement by multimedia applications

    The Red Book

After the completion of its second year of operation, the SysSecNetwork of Excellence produced this “Red Book of Cybersecurity”to serve as a Roadmap in the area of Systems Security. To realizethis book, SysSec put together a “Task Force” of top-level young researchersin the area steered by the advice of SysSec WorkPackage Leaders. The TaskForce had vibrant consultations (i) with the Working Groups of SysSec, (ii)with the Associated members of SysSec, and (iii) with the broader SystemsSecurity Community. Capturing their feedback in an on-line questionnaire andin forward-looking “what if” questions, the Task Force was able to distill theirknowledge, their concerns, and their vision for the future. The result of this consultation has been captured in this Red Book whichwe hope will serve as a Road Map of Systems Security Research and as anadvisory document for policy makers and researchers who would like to have animpact on the Security of the Future Internet
