GROWTH HORMONE TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH SHORT STATURE LIVED IN SAMARA REGION
Growth inhibition in children is heterogeneous state, and it may accompany many endocrine, somatic, genetic and chromosome diseases. Generally recognized medications for treatment of somatotropic insufficiency in present times are biosynthetic analogs of human growth hormone (hGH), obtained with DNA-recombinant technology. This article presents the results of estimation of effectiveness of hGH in treatment of children with short stature (n=77) with isolated deficiency of growth hormone, panhypopituitarism, Turner's syndrome, treated with hGH during 3 years. All patients had significant positive dynamics of clinical status, the velocity of grouth increased from 1.9 cm (initial) per year to 11.0 cm (the end of first year), with following decrease to 5.3 cm per year. SDS index of growth had stable tendency to increase: medium SDS index of growth initially was -3.9 SD, on the end of third year – -2.0 SD. Dynamical effects on the way to fusion of very heavy nuclei
The central collision of 40Ar and 208Pb is studied considering the ellipsoidal deformations and isovector dipole mode of motion in the approaching phase. The collective energy dissipation is suggested to originate from the Fermi surface deformation which is treated as a kinematically independent mode of motion within the canonical Lagrange-Rayleigh dynamics. The possible extensions of the approach are discussed. The potential energy surface, calculated using the generalized (folded) surface potential, is studied. The saddle point in the potential energy surface lying at the border of strongly deformed compact configurations is located. The potential energy at this point is about 10MeV smaller than that of the ions touching each other in the spherical shape. The examination of trajectories followed by the system in its evolution shows that the inertia forces strongly hinder the motion of ions along the potential energy valley. The collective energy dissipated during the approach is found to be smaller than the difference in the potential energies at saddle point and at the touching configuration of unpolarized ions.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
Role of intestinal brush border membrane aminopeptidase N in dipeptide transport
AbstractThe kinetics of uptake of radioactive label from [U-14C]Gly, L-[4,5-3H]Leu and the dipeptide [14C]Gly—L-[4,5-3H]Leu by the brush border membrane vesicles of porcine small intestine have been studied. The effect of aminopeptidase N inhibitors and leucine-binding protein on accumulation rates has also been tested. Comparison of the kinetic parameters for uptake and hydrolysis of Gly—L-Leu makes it possible to conclude that the dipeptide transfer includes two conjugated steps, viz., hydrolysis catalysed by aminopeptidase N and transport of the resultant free amino acids by a specific carrier
