A proposed model, built in Matlab®, represents the dynamical evolution in real electrolysers, and anticipates operational variables: level, pressure and all concentrations. Dynamic responses in the concentrations of the electrolytic cell, and variations in both level and pressure at the chamber due to the change in current and diffusivity, are reported. The equations by which the variables can be computed are also presented. The proposed model is ready for the corresponding adjustment of parameters based on experimental measurements taken from an available prototype and through a suitable identification process.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
Robot Control on the basis of Bio-electrical signals
This article shows the experiences carried out in the context of human/robot communication, on the basis of brain bio-electrical signals, with the application of the available technologies and interfaces which have facilitated the reading of the user’s brain bio-electrical signals and their association to explicit commands that have allowed the control of biped and mobile robots through the adaptation of communication devices. Our work presents an engineering solution, with the application of technological bases, the development of a high- and low-level communication framework, the description of experiments and the discussion of the results achieved in field tests.I Workshop Innovación en Sistemas de Software (WISS)Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI
The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between the reception zone and the spiking performance in each of the game rotations in top level men's volleyball teams. The sample consisted of 29 men´s matches of final phases in Olympic Games, World League and World Cup between 2012 and 2016, obtaining a sample of 3,689 spikes in the K1 phase. The variables analyzed were: the rotation of the reception team, the reception area and the spike performance. Ordinal regression models were used to determine the influence of the receiving zone and the interaction of rotation on spike performance. The results show significant interaction between the rotation and the reception area on spike performance (X²₄₆ = 127.885; p <.001; r2 = .036), which allow us to understand the greater or lesser probability of achieving a better spike performance in some of the rotations. In conclusion, the performance of the spike varies depending on the interaction of the rotation of the team and the reception area, but this relation in global level, only explain 3.6% of the variance of the spike. The analysis of the situations in which significance has been found could be associated with strategic decisions in the execution of the serve and the training of the K1
Sexist Myths Emergency Healthcare Professionals and Factors Associated with the Detection of Intimate Partner Violence in Women
This study analysed the capacity of emergency physicians and nurses working in the
city of Granada (Spain) to respond to intimate partner violence (IPV) against women, and the
mediating role of certain factors and opinions towards certain sexist myths in the detection of
cases. This is a cross-sectional study employing the physician readiness to manage intimate partner
violence survey (PREMIS) between October 2020 and January 2021, with 164 surveys analysed.
Descriptive and analytical statistics were applied, designing three multivariate regression models by
considering opinions about different sexist myths. Odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals (CIs)
were considered for the detection of cases. In the past six months, 34.8% of professionals reported
that they had identified some cases of IPV, particularly physicians (OR = 2.47, 95% CI = 1.14–5.16;
OR = 2.65, 95% CI = 1.26–5.56). Those who did not express opinions towards sexist myths related
to the understanding of the victim or the consideration of alcohol/drug abuse as the main causes
of violence and showed a greater probability of detecting a case (NS) (OR = 1.26 and OR = 1.65,
respectively). In order to confirm the indicia found, further research is required, although there tends
to be a common opinion towards the certain sexual myth of emergency department professionals not
having an influence on IPV against women.Support and Promotion of Research on Equality

H2 purity control for highpressure alkaline electrolyzers
This paper proposes a control strategy that mitigates the cross contamination of H2 and O2 in a high-pressure alkaline electrolyzer, which consequently increases the supplied gases purity. In order to reduce the diffusion of gases through the membrane, the controller establishes the opening of two outlet valves based on the pressure of the system and the difference in liquid level between both separation chambers. Therefore, a multiple input - multiple output optimal controller is designed here. For this purpose, an available high-fidelity model was simplified in order to obtain a control-oriented model. The proposed controller was evaluated in simulation using the high-fidelity nonlinear model in a wide operating range and was compared with a pair of decoupled PI controllers. The resulting impurity of gases was below 1% in all cases. This work has been partially funded by the DEOCS project (DPI2016-76493-C3-3R).Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
