Practical Provably Secure Multi-node Communication

We present a practical and provably-secure multimode communication scheme in the presence of a passive eavesdropper. The scheme is based on a random scheduling approach that hides the identity of the transmitter from the eavesdropper. This random scheduling leads to ambiguity at the eavesdropper with regard to the origin of the transmitted frame. We present the details of the technique and analyze it to quantify the secrecy-fairness-overhead trade-off. Implementation of the scheme over Crossbow Telosb motes, equipped with CC2420 radio chips, shows that the scheme can achieve significant secrecy gain with vanishing outage probability. In addition, it has significant overhead advantage over direct extensions to two-nodes schemes. The technique also has the advantage of allowing inactive nodes to leverage sleep mode to further save energy.Comment: Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communications (ICNC 2014

Gamification for Volunteer Cloud Computing.

Requirements engineering is a preliminary and cru- cial phase for the correctness and quality of software systems. Despite the agreement on the positive correlation between user involvement in requirements engineering and software success, current development methods employ a too narrow concept of that “user” and rely on a recruited set of users considered to be representative. Such approaches might not cater for the diversity and dynamism of the actual users and the context of software usage. This is especially true in new paradigms such as cloud and mobile computing. To overcome these limitations, we propose crowd-centric requirements engineering (CCRE) as a revised method for requirements engineering where users become primary contributors, resulting in higher-quality requirements and increased user satisfaction. CCRE relies on crowdsourcing to support a broader user involvement, and on gamification to motivate that voluntary involvement

Effect of Blended Learning Approach on Student Nurses’ Attitudes and Academic Achievement

Although  various blended approaches that integrate online components into traditional classes continue to grow rapidly, they still remain at an early stage of development. Consequently, developers and deliverers of online learning need more understanding of how students perceive and react to elements of e-learning (since student perception and attitude is critical to motivation and learning) along with how to apply these approaches most effectively to enhance learning. The Aim: aim of the current study was to examine the effect of blended learning  approach on student nurses’ attitudes and academic achievement in Medical Surgical Nursing course compared to traditional teaching method modules. Setting: A The sample consisted of 62 female students their age range from 19 to 20 years at 5th., level  recruited from 5th., level in faculty of nursing, King Khaled University   Tools: 3  tools used to collect data for the study: 1. student attitude scale toward blended learning approach 2.A Constructed Motivational Scale. and The Achievement Test, they are developed by the researchers. Results: The study findings revealed that,  the Study Group subjects (blended learning Group ) had higher Mean Of attitude  Subscales And Total Scores, achievement test Scores, and Mean Of Motivational Subscales And Total Scores than  Control Group (traditional), in addition, there were  statistically significant differences were found between the two groups in relation to previously mentioned variables. Therefore, this study recommended an educational programs for academic staff for teaching using  blended learning approach. Examining the Health Benefits of Olive Oil: A Review Tailored to the Libyan Setting

The health benefits from olive oil are now a fact backed via laboratory experiments rather than a scientific hypothesis, epidemiological and clinical evidence. Plenty of epidemiological studies have correlatedthat the consumption of olive oil was associated with better overall health. In recent years, remarkable studies have been carried out to show the possible use of olive oil and derivatives for improvement of both animal performance and product quality. More Olive oils are produced and consumed in Libya. This review highlighted the most recent advances of medicinal value of olive oil', furthermore; this review explores the most significant attributes of olive oil in health and pharmaceutical applications. For instance, reduced pure olive oil considerably lowers the risk of cholesterol- related and other vascular diseases. Also exhibits excellent pharmaceutical properties for curingoxidative damage linked to cancerand neurodegenerativediseases. Invivo application of olive oil and its derived products has shown to maintain oxidative balance owing to its polyphenolic content.
