    Estratégia híbrida de recomendações num gestor de conteúdos ampliado

    O objetivo principal desta dissertação é propor um modelo de recomendação de conteúdos de aprendizagem num ambiente formal, típico do Ensino Superior, sobre um gestor de conteúdos ampliado, onde os alunos avaliam e publicam conteúdos. As principais contribuições deste trabalho são: 1. A adição de conteúdos pelos alunos é por eles bem aceite; 2. Modelo de recomendações híbrido, em cascata, com três filtragens baseadas em regras de precedência, duração de estudo e avaliação das atividades de aprendizagem; 3. Formulação de similaridade entre alunos, que valoriza os melhores alunos e o passado recente de conteúdos selecionados por cada aluno; 4. Implementação, experimentação e avaliação de um protótipo baseado no modelo proposto. A avaliação mostrou que o desenvolvimento deste tipo de sistemas permite aos alunos terem experiências únicas de aprendizagem com sequenciamentos de conteúdos adequados aos seus perfis. Destacamos a contribuição para esta investigação da revisão de conceitos e literatura relacionada; ABSTRACT:The main objective of this thesis is to propose a model for personalized recommendation of learning activities, directed to learners, in a formal learning context. We suggest that learners can publish some useful contents and that they should rate them. The main contributions of this work are: 1. The addition of new content was well accepted, by learners; 2. Hybrid recommendations model in cascade, with three filtering techniques, based on precedence rules, duration of study and classification of learning activities; 3. New formulation of similarity between students, which gives value to the best students and recent past of content selected by each student. 4. A prototype has been implemented and real experimentation was carried out during two months. It showed that such systems help learners to diversify their learning paths and experiences, increase useful collaboration and support making decisions.     Hybrid recommender strategy in learning: an experimental investigation

    Purpose—finding ways of improving learning in a formal higher education context. Design/methodology/approach—in the proposed model we will consider extending traditional content management systems, giving learners the possibility to add new materials and to rate them, and a hybrid strategy that combines technical recommendations with some profile-based filtering to offer adaptive and suitable sequencing learning content to learners. Findings—the experiment shows that our recommendation techniques are able to reflect the learners’ interests. Research limitations/implications—it’s necessary to demonstrate the contributions of these kinds of solutions to the learners’ success. Practical implications—theoretical and practical framework for future research in the field was developed. Originality/Value—the main contributions are the extended Learning Management System and the hybrid Recommender System, which implements a new proposal to evaluate learners’ similarities.Didėjantis technologinių inovacijų, eksperimentų bei tyrimų kiekis kuria scenarijus, kur laikas ir erdvė įgyja naujas reikšmes. Tinkamų mokymosi resursų identifikavimas bei išskyrimas iš gausybės potencialių variantų pasitelkiant internetą, tapo itin aktualia paslauga. Socialiniai tinklai ir debesų kompiuterijos sprendimai yra pastarųjų laikų inovacijos, užtikrinančios lengvesnę prieigą prie resursų (skirtingose laiko ir erdvės dimensijose, pasitelkiant daugybę terminalų). Nuotolinis mokymas įgauna vis didesnę reikšmę (netgi naudojamas kaip auditorinio mokymo pakaitalas). Žvelgti į mokymąsi per besimokančiojo prizmę, pateikiant jį kaip centrinę proceso ašį, yra viena iš naujųjų tendencijų mokymosi doktrinoje. Šis požiūris ypatingas tuo, jog besimokantysis yra laikomas žinių generatoriumi, o pačios žinios neatsiranda vien dėl trečiųjų šalių pateikiamos informacijos. Konstruktyvistinis mokymo modelis teigia, jog žinios atsiranda kaip socialinių konstruktų sąveikos rezultatas, kolaboratyvioje aplinkoje, dalyvaujant skirtingiems mokymosi subjektams. Ši aplinka reikalauja naujų technologijų, mokymosi metodų bei proceso paramos įrankių. Įvairūs besimokantieji su skirtingomis charakteristikomis, įgūdžiais, pajėgumu bei tikslais siekia tinkamiausių sau mokymosi veiklų bei resursų. Diferencijuotas turinys, adaptyvus mokymosi nuoseklumas yra keli iš reikalavimų siekiant įgyvendinti anksčiau minėtas mokymosi metodikas. Pagrindinis šios publikacijos tikslas – atrasti būdus, padedančius gerinti mokymo kokybę formaliojo aukštojo mokslo kontekste. Šiame straipsnyje pristatome į besimokantįjį orientuotą modelį, su personaliai pritaikytomis rekomendacijomis bei mokymosi veiklomis. Mes teigiame, jog besimokantieji gali skelbti naudingo turinio medžiagą bei ją vertinti. Šie turiniai gali būti susieti, siekiant padėti besimokantiesiems informacijos atrinkimo procese. Mūsų sistema numatys mokymosi aktyvumo rezultatus remdamasi besimokančiojo profiliu, hibridine rekomendacijų strategija bei kombinuojant sąlyginio ir kolaboratyvinio filtravimo metodus. Šie įverčiai padės besimokantiesiems pasirinkti tinkamiausias mokymosi veiklas. Mes teigiame, jog besimokančiųjų panašumai gali būti nustatomi remiantis įvertinimų rezultatais bei mokymosi istorija. Straipsnyje pristatomas motyvacinės mokymosi metodo tinkamumo prielaidos bei koncepcinės ir praktinės įžvalgos. Taip pat pristatome sistemos architektūros bei dizaino koncepcijas. Mūsų pasiūlytas modelis yra realizuotas pasitelkiant Moodle studijų valdymo sistemą. Realūs formaliųjų studijų eksperimentiniai kursai buvo vykdomi du mėnesius aukštojo mokslo institucijoje. Eksperimento rezultatai parodė, jog panašių sistemų vystymas padeda studijuojantiesiems diversifikuoti mokymosi kelius bei patirtis, padidina naudingą bendradarbiavimą, padeda geriau priimti sprendimus. Nepaisant to, šiems sprendimams įvaldyti reikia praktikos bei tinkamo dizaino realizavimo, siekiant palengvinti jų pritaikomumą

    A preliminary review of the impact of social media on health literacy in young people

    Our objective in this article is to analyze studies with health interventions in adolescents supported by social media applications, essentially those aimed at promoting knowledge in the areas of nutrition, harmful consumption, and sexuality. We also aim to evaluate and measure the possible impact and effectiveness of these interventions. As a methodology, a preliminary summary of systematic and integrative reviews and some articles was carried out, using Internet searches in databases and scientific article repositories. The searches used certain keywords and preference was given to recent articles, including adolescent interventions that involved websites and applications where users created and shared content or participated in social networks

    Are the Health Information Systems (HIS) ready for the digital transformation? Challenges and future perspectives for HIS in Portugal

    The relevance of Health Information Systems (HIS) lies in the impact of these systems have on the citizen, on public health, and on sustainability and preparedness in the future, in terms of health. The recent pandemic situation, caused by COVID-19, has highlighted the importance of HIS, particularly in the practice of medicine. However, despite all the technology that enables HIS development, its materialization requires intervention at the strategic, political, technological, and also sociocultural level. This paper aims to reflect on the challenges of HIS, at a time when technologies enable the creation of new approaches and models for care delivery, as well as identify scenarios that may characterize this practice in the future. For this purpose, an empirical study was conducted, based on interviews. The results point to the existence of emerging technologies that can promote the development of HIS focused on to \u27health and well-being\u27 following a preventive model approach
